Target Coupon Policy Question..

So the question I have is regarding this new coupon policy
Target added a limit to "like" coupons:
Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon)

I was shopping at there the other day and was told I can only use 4 manufacturer's coupons total in my transaction..even though I never had more than 4 of one type of manufacturer coupon..Was the cashier wrong/confused? Because from what I gather it's 4 IDENTICAL coupons..not meaning you can only have 4 manufacturer coupons total per transaction.

The cashier was wrong reg. the interpretation. It's 4 identical coupons.

However, each Target store has the right to limit the amount of coupons you use.

Next time I'd ask for a manager to see what (s)he has to say.

I had issues today too, only the manager was telling me I could only use so many coupons because of the per purchase verbiage. Grr! I called customer care and let them know but even then I don't think they understood what I was saying. They need to educate themselves about coupons and their own policy...

I work for Target and there is not a physical block in the register stopping the 5th q from going through. Did you have anything else on your purchase? The q wouldn't have gone through if there was nothing else in your purchase because it would've caused overage if the coupon wasn't adjusted down

A lot of the cashiers are confused I think. I had 3 Care free coupons the other day. The cashier refused to take the third one. She said only 2 TQ's and 2 MQ's. I was using 3 MQ's but I wasn't going to argue with her since the line was long.

yeah the new coupon policy states that your limit is 4 IDENTICAL coupons per day per household. So the cashier was wrong. Give them time it will take some cashiers and some stores a little longer to understand the new policy. Unfortunately some stores will never get it just like any other store LOL
