Just left my store and they had a sign up for the 1 oz Nivea hand cream .87 get $5 GC. When you buy 3 Register didn't trigger it but since they had the sign up they let me do the trans.

Total= 10.77 ( including tax)
Got $20 GC!!!

The giftcard didn't trigger because you need to spend at least $5 before coupons in order to get the GC. The tin lotions will be good to use with other items to lower the cost but cannot be used alone to get the gc.

It will not. When I bought mine I did 8 tins and 4 lotions. She rang up all 8 tins and no gift card prompt. When she scanned each of the 4 lotions a gift card prompted.

Cashier had to store coupon out the $5 card since it didn't trigger. Bought 2 tins for $1.02 and the Nivea Lip Shine for $3.14. Used the $1 coupon from beauty bag. It has to be $5 before coupons, but the tins aren't prompting even though the cashier says they qualify.

I was going to use the beauty bag q but it states Not valid on trial size.

If my store doesn't have the small tin marked, I assume it's not a part of the deal then?? I wanted to get a lotion, 4.22 and two small tin. That would prompt a $5 gift card, wouldn't it?

My stores were not marked but they worked. Make sure they rings the tins up first before the lotion.

I do not think this is right? Unless I read the add wrong it states " free $5 gift card when you buy 3 of the skin care items LISTED" the only one listed is the 13.5 oz skin firming lotion. all other items 10 % off. unless it states otherwise in the store ....

It took me forever to find these. I did 3 transactions and it isn't your total that has to be over 5.00 to trigger the GC but rather 5.00 in Nivea product and at least 3 (we sat there and rang/voided until we figured it out). The manager overrode it because that is not what the ad said or company policy. I am wondering how long until they fix this.

Keep in mind at Target, you cannot earn a Gift Card if the sum of your THREE qualifying purchases does not AT LEAST meet the amount of the gift card you are earning before coupons.

The ad doesn't include all of the items that are in fact included in the sale. Your store will probably have tons of tags of items that are included. Mine did. Yay!

Right, that's how it is. The total before coupons has to be at least $5, AND you have to have at least 3 items. That's how the GC deals at Target have always been.

I went and tried this today and it didn't work for me the first time I did 6 tin cans and it didn't trigger the gift card. So I went back and got 2 tin cans and the lip balm? That was 3.14 and it still didn't work! I was going to go back again but the lines got to long. I'm going to try a different target and hopefully my transaction will go thru. My plan is 3 lip balms for 2.44 if that doesn't work I give up!

Please read the above posts for ideas. Your total has to be at least $5 per every three items for the GC to produce. Your totals above are all less than $5 per every 3 items. You can get a large lotion and two tins and your total could be just over $5.00.

Each of the transactions were over 5$ the tin cans are .97 cents so for my first transaction 6tin can x .97 =5.82 and for the second .97x2 + 3.14 = 5.08
