Anyhow, does anyone know if it will work if I buy 4 tins and 2 lotions? I know three items have to reach $5 to produce the GC, but wondering if this will produce 2 GC's. I'm not sure how the systems will ring this.

Yes, that's what I did last night. Make sure hey ring the tins first then each lotion will trigger the gc.

I did this 11 times:

1 nivea lotion - $5.39 and 2 tins @ .87, total $7.13
1 nivea lotion coupon @ 2.00 and $5 GC
paid out of pocket .14 cents each time except for the first trans. paid $5.55 for first one.

Wish I could do it more than once. I went to target today and tried to do 2 large lotions and 4 small tins. Handed the cashier 2 (2.00/1) qs and he said "it's 1 per purchase u can use only 1" I said yeah I'm buying 2 of the lotions --- he said "it's our policy we can only use one coupon" I said okay .... Well let me ring them up separately .. He said they're not allowed to more than 1 transaction ....ugh worst trip ever seriously

Sorry to hear about your trip! This is why I only shop Target when there is a MM or some deal you just can't possibly pass up. Before this Nivea deal, I hadn't been in Target since the Iams cat food was free w/Q. Can't stand how they make up their own rules as they go along and deny coupons not based on official policy, but on whether they think you are just getting too good a deal or not.

Thanks - yes I should have known better . I ALWAYS Always always have a problem at target because they "change" their policy and make up rules. And I'm like what's the problem !?? I didn't buy 30 I wanted 2 of the Nivea bigger bottle lotions - when they had like 20 on the shelf --- but you're right only go when it's a MM or amazing deal ;( I feel like the target next to me is the problem because another target I went to doesnt have this problem

Heartmomo, you should of called corporate right then and there while in line and prove him wrong...that's what I do...I tell them, "I'm gonna call corporate and let's see what they have to say about this..". When I do this, corporate usually ask to speak to the cashier..no problem after that until the next time again...repeat again....

There is one Target near me. They allow only one mq because customers were making a purchase at the checkstand with a mq and then immediately strolling over to customer service to return the items just purchased to cash in on the mq. So sad. This is their attempt to prevent that practice.

I would have if there was another cashier ;( there was only a customer service lady and she said exactly what the cashier said --- so I was just like u know what forget it and she was very nasty about it

I miss out on deals because I dont live close to target --- this one I'm talking about is the closest and is about 25 mins away
And they give me this problem almost every time

I've gone to four Targets and found a single tin, but that Target was out of the $4.22 lotions.

Incredibly frustrating, we really need lotion and I love the tins.

I went to target yesterday and they had the place for the tins.. .87 cents, and all the lotions. Sold out. Today they get their truck so I tried again. No place or tag for the tins at all. Must have pulled them.

There's no tag for the tins but the gift card still works for the tin...you just have to combine a lotion with 2 tins to get to $5 and the gift card will generate.

No tins at my store, but the real kicker was at the Customer Service counter. The cashier directed me there when the 6 items I bought--2 Happy lotions, 1 mint lip balm, 2 double-packs of milk & honey lip balm, which totaled well over $10--only triggered one GC. The woman at C/S said "Oh, the Nivea deal doesn't exist anymore." After I pointed out that i had just done it and rec'd one GC, she re-rang the items and showed me the screen indicating that double packs of lip balm weren't included, but the single pack of mint lip balm was.

She also yanked the ad out of my hands that I picked up from the counter, wandered off, and came back with the "right" ad.

This kind of behavior is why I stopped shopping at Target for 2 years; I've gone back periodically for great deals, but if I wanted this kind of lousy service, I'd shop at Walmart!
