I need help. Today I bought 2 toy organizers for the twins b-day and they were 59.99 marked down to 29.99. This was a good deal, but there were tons more so I am hoping they will go down and I can buy some more and take back the 29.99 ones. Here is what the markdown schedule from the sticky is:
Monday -- Infants department, Kids clothing and Electronics (maybe food also)

Tuesday -- Women's clothing, Domestics

Wednesday -- Men's clothing, Garden, Toys, Health and Beauty

Thursday -- Lingerie, Shoes, Housewares, Sporting Goods, Luggage

Friday -- Cosmetics, Hardware, Auto, Home Improvement and Jewelry

These were the DO YOUR ROOM brand which has all the kids bedding and room decorating stuff. What day do you think this item might get another markdown? I bought this with birthday money from the aunts so if I could stretch it even farther for them that would be awesome. I kind of feel bad buying a toy organizer with half of their money, but then again my oldest loves his train table more than all his toys.

I would say they are housewares, I think. If I remember they are near the housewares section so that should help. I was hoping to get one for my DD but I don't want to spend $30 on it, maybe I will get lucky and as I swing through tomorrow to get some gerber graduates stuff on sale they will be even further discounted!

Thursday. If there are several then they may wait a few weeks. If they are selling at 30 to 50% off then they won't mark down until only a few are left or they quit selling or new stuff comes in. I go early Thrusday mornings and check when I am watching something. But it will be a Thrusday item.

Thank you lifeworthliving! Can you tell me if I go in there Thursday morning and it is not marked down can I ask them to check if it is supposed to and get them to go ahead and do it if it is?

I went to the Target closer to my house this morning and these are only marked 30% off and there was a ton left. Maybe if I wait a few weeks and go back they will have them marked down lower because I would really like one for my daughters room. She is starting to be at teh age where she is going to need storage space soon.

I work for Target. That is the supposed break down. But when it goes to a mark down it is not necessarily going to go on clearance.
And not all Target stores carry the same items,nor do they go on clearance at the same time. If the item is still selling well it will not be marked down again for a quite a while. Some times a mark down could be only 1 week depending if a lot is in stock, if not you are out of luck. This is true for seasonal like Christmas,
Halloween, Back to School etc.....starts at 30,50,75 and 90%.
Once it reaches 90 it will only be there for 1 - 3 days then it goea to salvage. I hope this helps.
