Toys R Us has the Ninitendo 3ds w/game for $199 (normal price) plus $40 gc. Will Target match that?

If I have their policy straight, then no I don't think they could match that. My copy of the policy printed 11/16 says and I quote, "If you find an item in a competitor's printed ad that is priced lower than it is at your Target store, we will match the price."

This is all it says as far as the value of the price match. I would deduce they won't offer the value of the $40 GC, because it states specifically that they match the advertised price, not the advertised savings.

Actually, Target has a better price on the Nintendo 3DS. It's $169.99 + you get a $50 GC. It's part of their 3-day sale that ends Saturday.

I just did this deal this morning and was also able to use the $10 GC when you spend $50. So, I was able to get a total of $60 GC bringing the net down to $109!

Thanks ladies. My only problem with getting it at target is that I'm not a big fan of their warrenty. It doesn't cover accidents and I need that.

Just curious, but why did you inquire about Target price matching if you didn't really want to buy it there?

Toys R Us is always out of it by the time I get to the store (I don't live close to one) or they're sold out online of the one I want. I didn't mind buying it at target, I've bought ds's there before, I just want a better warranty. I didn't know that they do offer a "gaming" warranty that covers the system and up to 9 games and has accidental coverage. Its a lot more than the one I paid so I was just gonna return the policy and buy the better one. I ended up returning the 3ds bundle I bought and went with the system by itself that came with the $50 gc. I also got an extra $15 gc because I had a coupon that came in the mail. I used them to buy the 3ds game and one for the Wii and still ended up saving over $40 by doing it this way.
