I had a coupon for Multigrain Cheerios that I printed off of Boodle. I presented it to the cashier today but the manager (nosy manager) was standing there and looked at my coupon and said they don't take it because it says "Void if copied". I told her its not copied, I printed off the internet. She said they don't take internet coupons, only Target ones.

Now that I am home I read the sticky on Target coupon rules.......so what's up with this? I also had 2 Huggies coupons which she made me do 2 transactions for. I guess she just wanted to be difficult today.

Should I do anything further of just leave it alone. I wasn't doing anything wrong.

I would just leave it alone, and try again next time you go. They do accept internet printables. I hate to keep calling corporate over thinsg like that. I am afraid they will be sick of it and just decide to really n ot take any at all. Sorry they were like that.

On the huggies coupon it does clearly state the limit (1 per transaction). So technically the manager was abiding by the coupon policy on that one. Unfortunately the coupon does have a limit stated. I do know some are getting away with more than 1 per transaction, but you can be denied because of the stated limit at any point.

Now as far as the cheerios... they should have accepted it. However, if you call corporate they will say it is up the individual store managers discretion. Most stores are actually like this.. Though most managers just go by the corporate policy and accept anything corporate says they can.

like lhart said, corporate will tell you that store managers can deny/accept any coupons they want. i have one Target that wont take internet coupons, another two miles away that does.

Go to a different T or go at a different time. I have found some that cheer me on, and others that call the mgr on me.

I just take the q back and say "then please remove that item as well, I will go to Walmart and use this q there, without any trouble. Thanks"

Makes me feel better to say that, and I mean ever word of it. Not being rude at all, just letting them know that there is to many options out there to sweat the small stuff.
