Target OMG 126 Pampers for $6.54

I was at my target today going in for batteries. I always look on the end cap for deals and BOOM right on the bottom shelf 124 Size 4 pampers for $6.54.
It had a clearence ticket on it that said AS IS. I dont know what could be wrong with the diapers, the box was sealed. I opened it to see if anything was wrong-- Nope, they looked fine and it seemed that instead of 126 it appears I have 120. (I didnt really want to try and count every diaper through plastic so i just did a general count)either way good deal I hope.
Do you think something may be wrong with the diapers why were they 70% off and have a AS IS ticket on it?

Wow that's really a good deal!!! That must be an old stock from a long time ago. Even so, I'd still take it. You're lucky!

Maybe somebody returned it b/c their baby was allergic to pampers. I would feel fine using it...it goes on their bootie, not in their bodies...so I would feel fine about it.

Probably that's why it's missing 6 or so but I read somewhere that all baby items returned are thrown away. Hmmm...wonder if that's true. I know they do that with formula. What a waste.

When my son was a baby, I often found diapers and paper towels marked way down just because of a tear in the outside packaging. Don't worry about it too much, I don't Target puts baby items back on their shelves that have been returned.

Was it one of the boxes that had Gerber coupons in them? At my Target many of the boxes had the coupons stolen from them--maybe they clearanced it because that had happened to this box?

wow, that's a fantastic deal for diapers!!! I can never find any baby items go down lower than 15%, but I've got myself some diapers from the deal last month..

I don't know they will throw baby stuff away if it's returned.

I tried to buy some of the snacks with the FBTF coupon and the Target General Mills coupon and the cashier wouldn't take the General Mills in combination with the other. "There are lots of items that are distributed by GM that are not GM items", he says. I went immediately to the CS desk to return the FBTF and the cashier there put some defective sticker on them. I told him that I hadn't even left the store. He said they have to throw away any food item that gets returned. Anyway, he ended up giving me the $3 and change for those GM coupons.

I supplemented with Good Start, until the Doctor decided that my son's sudden colic-y behavior was a result of milk intolerance...to both my breastmilk and to Good Start. Well, she switched him to Enfamil Nutramigen...so I had a couple cans and a couple of the packs with the 3 oz. premixed servings of GS to return. I took them back with my receipt, and they told me that they have to throw them in the garbage(I dunno why, maybe I asked). I think that is absolutely crazy! I think about all the babies in places like women's shelters, ect...that could use this. I wonder if the employees get to take any of this stuff home? I doubt it, but that policy makes dumpster diving look good! LOL.

It is sad to have so much waste when there are people in need, but they can't take the chance of returning something to the shelf that has been tampered with. Even if the can or bottle appears to be intact, it's possible that someone added something to it so better safe than sorry is the attitude.

(And yes, sadly enough, there are freaks in this world who would tamper with baby formula just for *kicks* )

i went tonight and looked around, i didn't see anything, until a really nice young lady asked me if i was looking for something. I jokingly asked if they had any bix boxes of Pampers on clearance for super cheap.

She says, "umm, yeah we had like 50 cases of them for like 6 bucks, but they are all gone" ...gesh it seems like i don't go to that freaken store for 1 day and they clearance out the place,
