Argh and always had good luck with target. Tried to get some sample things that was posted here with coupons they were .99 and my coupons were 1.00 off and some cookies. I have never had a problem before. Here is my email I sent to the email address the store HR manager gave me. Does anyone else have emails to there corporate office would love to send them the same email.

After spending about an hour and half at target having a fun day with my daughter. We brought our cart full of items to the register. I use coupons. And the cashier scanned my coupons they all went in and then she started examing my coupons. There were people in line after me that kept walking off I was so embarressed. Each coupon she looked at and then went back to her computer to make sure I bought the item. Of course I did or the coupon would not scan. It was taking a long time. Then she informed me well this item your coupon is for 1.00 but our sale price is .99 so you can not get this I asked her can't you do a price adjustment on the coupon? They have done that before. She said No I can not. So I said ok ( at this time people were staring at me all over the store) then can you please take that item off. I was horrified. They were looking at me like I was trying to steal something. It was a valid manufacturer coupon and that is why I love target cause sometimes your sales are so good on the item with the coupon. Target will still get there money from the manufacturer for the coupon value. But I did not say that. I just stood there mortified when she pulls out the next coupon off dawn direct foam dish detergent. Remember now all these coupons scanned. She looked back on her computer and said did you get this I said yes I did actually I bought two of them ,as I am pulling stuff out of my bags in my cart to show her. Again people behind me leaving the line and at this time I saw someone I know talk about embarrising. Another item was for 1.00 off and it was on sale for .99 she says real loud oh no no you can't do this one. I started to pull that thing out of my bag but at that time I had 4 things taken out of my bags that she was not letting me use the coupons for I asked to speak to a manager. Oh the cashier's name was Michelle. So a manager walked over and looked like she didn't want to get in the middle of it and left so another manager came over named Jake he said whats the problem I told him that I had coupons and I am being made to feel like a criminal just because I want to use coupons that are all valid and all went through no problem. They all scanned. Noone should have to feel guilty about using a coupon. He starts looking at the coupons and going through my bags. Am I stealing here?? Then he said this target printable coupon you have for archer cookies is not on the cookies you got cause the picture on this coupon is just some cookies on a plate and you got a box. Well I just looked at him. I said well can you show me the cookies you sell that are on a plate? He said well they must not be sold at this store then. I said what. I used the same coupon 2 days ago and bought the same cookies no problem and it scanned. The box says Archer cookies. We love these my family eats them all the time I know they are the cookies on the coupon. I am not new to target been shopping here for years and years and years. I know what you sell. He said you can't use the coupons on these. At this time my daughter is so upset I am so upset almost in tears I leave with my cart and everything in it just sitting there. Told them I would not ever be back. He then said to me well anyone can shop where they want to shop it you decide to shop somewhere else then thats your choice. I could not believe it. As we left my 4 year old said Mommy I never want to go back there again they were not very nice to you. This is very sad to me. I have never been treated this way. I feel a great loss. Target was like a very important thing in our lives. My daughter and I would go there to have some mommy and me time at least once a week sometimes 2 times a week. We would eat lunch there and then have fun shopping or spending daddy's money as she would say. And we don't live close to target we live about 1/2 hour away. After I left I decided to call the store manager I talked to HRmanager that was on duty at the time. All she could say is well first she told me to hold on and then had Jake in her office while I was on the phone she would go to him then come back to me. Anyway her main thing she said to me that stuck out the most was its not Target's practice to let any customer ever get something for free. And we need to set limits on how many coupons people use. I am hurt and disspointed I have never had this problem at any other store I have been to Grocery, Walmart nothing. Yes I use coupons just started actually about 4 months ago. I did not have an excess of coupons. I had 4 things that had 1.00 of coupons for them that were on sale for .99. I had 2 coupons for the dishwashing soap, 2 coupons for deoderant, 2 coupons on kids bath items & some target printable coupons for cookies ( yes we love these cookies). Anyway and a whole cart full of other things that did not have coupons for them. I don't think that was excess. And I think even if I had a coupon for every item that I bought that day they should all be taken. The target website says you can print as many as you like of the printables there is no limit right? I bought 9 cases of diet dr. pepper a couple weeks ago with the coupons on line noone ever questioned me. And today I only had one item that had target printables the other coupons were manufacturer coupons. I have heard from friends about issues they have had I would always stick up for target and say I never had a problem there. They are always great to me. Well that all changed today. The HR manager apoligized but in this way "I am sorry you are feeling this way." The whole time she defended how I was treated. I just don't understand why someone should be made to feel bad for using a coupon and saving a little bit here and there when they can? Like I said before I have never ever had this problem at this target before the cashiers always took my coupons and scanned them no problem never made me feel guilty about using a coupon. Its a coupon I dont understand.

Sounds like a fun day with your daughter turned nasty because of the Target staff.

I would be writing a letter to corporate myself and include the names.

Too late now, but that is what videos on photocellphones are for....situations like this where clerks or managers treat customers badly.

Wow...that just plain sucks the way that you were treated. I have been in your shoes also and treated the same way at one of my many Target stores. Let's say that I don't visit that store anymore unless I really feel like pissing off some people by using lots of coupons!

It must be a really bad day for coupon users. I was in Walmart today, where I never have any problem using coupons. BUT! Today I must have had a brand new cashier. I had a coupon for free Sara Lee bread. She told me it didn't match the picture so I couldn't use it. I took the bread and my coupon to Customer Service and I had no trouble. What's even worse is, I had a coupon for a free carton of Blue Bunny Ice Cream. The cashier told me that because I was getting strawberry and on the coupon was a picture of vanilla, I couldn't use that one either. Believe me...I was hot...I was cranky...and I was ready to smack the stuffin out of her! I think she saw that in my eyes, cause she finally took the coupon.

Target Makes Me Sick. After The Same Treatment, I Avoided Them For Over 3 Months Then I Figured I Am Going To Try It Again. No Problems Lately, But I Know They Will Be Idiots Over My Coups Again, Just Be Prepared To Face A Loss Here And There And Try To Enjoy Shopping There Again After You Cool Off.

YOu know...IF they would read and NOT compare pictures....most q-pons will say "ON ANY_____ Product" or they say on "when you purchase_______kinds .......oh they tick me off when they compare pictures as that has happened to me and i make them read the fine print on them and that really embarrasses them! I think that all stores should have a specific checkout(S) just for us q-pon users so others can cool there jets that are waiting in line when we have problems with the darn cashiers! LOL......((((((((HUGS)))))))

I so sorry it happen to you. It happen to me about couple weeks ago and I have not been in that store since and not sure if I ever plan on going back after the way I was treated. They gave me a complaint card with a 1800 number to call which I did and they said they were sorry it happen and would be talking to the two manager as I had their names I was so hot and left a cart full for them to put up. Hope you get somewhere.

I'm sorry you were treated that way. Each Target can set their own coupon policy and this is part of the problem. Corp. isn't much better about helping out. I don't shop at Target very often anymore...I was actually followed around by the security guards when I was using my Q's once......................UGH!!

I thought it was funny too!! How stupid can you be?? I don't know of any store that would sell cookies on a plate.

Girl, jpin the crowd! Does walmart NOT take internet coupons???

I was told under no uncertain term they NEVER take internet coupons even if they are from the manufacture's website. I had two $2.00 coupons for 2 boxes of Nutripals ($4.67 ea) and one for 55C off a 1.70 gerber puffs.
YES, they all scanned through. hey if the machine will take them what is the problem!

Oh and yes I attempted to use a manufacture coupon that I got from kroger and they told me I could not use that (Fine I get it) I was misinformed by someone on another website.

BUT give me a break, I made her subtract all those items off my order.

I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO WALLY WORLD any time soon.

It is just one of those days.

I did have great success at Target and made sure all my coupons were scanned.
