Help Sign My Target Mgr said they don't take internet coupons?!

I'm new here, first post I've learned so much already--you all are awesome!

The last time I tried to use a Target internet coupon (it was for Pampers), the cashier said that they do not take internet coupons and that it is at the discretion of each store manager.

Is that true? or did this girl not know what she was talking about? I didn't ask to speak to the manager b/c after looking at the coupon I couldn't use it anyway (was for diapers & wipes and I only had diapers). But now I'm scared to print out a bunch of coupons and then be embarrassed at the store.

TIA!
Danielle

Target seems to inconsistantly let each location make their own rules & their coupon policy from corporate seems to basically serve as a suggestion. Very silly.

However, many areas laws would require Target to honor their own public advertising. Coupons that ever appeared on their site & are unexpired are a form of advertising that drew in your traffic. Many areas have bait & switch related laws.

I was told a few months back by a Target manager that they were going to stop taking internet printed coupons...however she was not referring to Target internet coupons. Target coupons can be printed off from their computers in their store also so I think your cashier was mistaken. "Internet coupons" are the ones you print from coupons.com and such. Whereas Target coupons that you print from the internet are simply "Target coupons". I really wish the management would teach these cashiers better.

All you have to say is "Yes, you do take them" If they have an issue, they will call a manager over who will say yes they do. If the manager says no also, tell then that you have already called corporate to verify and they can call also if they want to! I have the problem all the time. And who cares about the people getting huffy puffy behind u--they are just mad cause they are wasting their money! LOL

Wow, thanks for such quick responses! I'm planning on heading over there shortly for a little shopping.

I'm going to look and see if they have the kiosk printing and if they do, i'll be sure to use my coupons. If they don't, this time I will specifically request to talk to the manager and clear this up.

LOL.

Do most agree Target is the worst retailer overall for couponers? I'm not comparing deals available, I'm referring to their inconsistancy that creates hassles.

I don't have much trouble with my Target stores....I would have to say Wally Mart is the worst around my area. I don't go there much unless there is an awesome deal posted here ($2 pantene)

Overall on the internet though, do you think you've seen more complaints by people about problems using coupons at Target or at Walmart?

That really doesn't matter. As long as we keep helping each other and informing--that is what matters!

I totally agree. Coupons posted on the Target website (or through Pampers.com, which is usually where those Target pampers coups come from I think) are a form of advertising and I would argue that with any 19 y/o manager who wanted to. if all stores are not going to honor them, then the coups need to clearly display that information. what's next? telling us that their weekly ad doesn't apply to their store???

I thought it's what you meant before when you posted "Can u tell how determined we are on this subject!?!?"

Being it's the Target forum.

Target seems to me to get many people very determined.

Funny that you said that as it reminds me of a time a Target dummie unsuccessfully tried denying a RC based on small print saying something like not all items available at all locations (& it was an item they carried; it had a shelf tag; it was merely OOS).

There are more complaints against Target because of the coupons that they put out for us to use. I'm sure that if Walmart put out coupons like Target did, there would be just as many of complaints.

I for one avoid Kmart or Wal-mart because of how they take coupons.
