Target coupon policy

Just FYI - I spoke with Jennifer (just in case someone needs a corporate name to throw out at your store ) in the Corporate office today, and a copy of their NATIONWIDE coupon policy is in the mail to me, along with $$$ coupons off my next store visit. After my horrible visit on Wednesday, and trying to resolve this issue at store level on Thursday (with very little compensation for my time and trouble), I decided to contact them. Jennifer was very nice and informed me that should I have any troubles in the future, to have them call corporate while I'm still there, and resolve the issue at that time. She also said I should pass on the policy to everyone I know...which I will do so everyone can keep it in their binder/box just in case! I should receive it early next week. AS SOON AS I GET IT, I WILL FORWARD THE COPY TO ONE OF THE MODS @ AFC, AND THEY CAN POST IT TO THE SITE SO THAT EVERYONE CAN PRINT IT.

I'd love a copy of it... and Dan (another name you can throw around) said the same thing minus the coupons in the mail.

TARGET COUPON POLICY

-We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and manufacturer-issued coupons.
-We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
-We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in that case, we'll adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
-We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of sale.

I just received an email with the exact same info that skyesgranny posted. Thank you for posting this, by the way! I was told all I have to do is print this out and bring it to the store. HTH (Looks like they still have to give us the trial sizes whether they want to or not, see underlined section above!)

I also had a call in to verify - one per purchase means one per item. I carry that Case #, or whatever they call it around now. Helped a lot with the VR deal.

AAAARGH! I had my first really frustrating experience w/Target! I know this is mild, but I bought 5 mexican items (I am 1 of those people who try not to overdo the deal per trip) and was told I could only use 1 coupon per transaction. I told him to please look at the wording on the coupon. I told him I thought it read 1 coupon per item and he told me that meant 1 per ticket. He then called the clerk at the next register over- I am familiar with her and she is what I will call a "sexual intellectual" She told that anyone who took more than 1 coupon per "ticket" should be reported to corporate.
This is a fairly new store and I can't wait to call corporate tomorrow. I have been biting my tongue about her and a jerk who works in CS! Sorry-I needed to vent-the jerk in "CS" is the worst! From: "Apple"

I suggest that when you call corporate, you ask them to email a copy of their coupon policy to your inbox, that way when you print it off, it has YOUR NAME on it, letting store management know that you've already contacted corporate once, and don't have a problem doing it again if they give you grief. Sorry they were such a-holes!

Thanks! I should have asked for a copy emailed, but did not think to. I called this morning and the cs person was very nice-she gave me a reference number to give to management if it happens again. I wonder if I should call back and get a printed copy?

is still policy still available? i would like to have a copy of it. my friend just recently had an experience that i am certain was against policy. they would not take her internet coupons on the market mexican items. as the manager said they were no longer valid even though the experation date was still valid.

I just had my first bad experience also. I plan to call corporate on Monday, but the manager told me that's where they got their directive to not accept Mexican Market Pantry coupons at regular Target. The coupon says "SuperTarget" The memo she was holding had a copy of the Market Pantry Mexican item coupon.

FWIW The Market Pantry Mexican items are still a good value without coupons. I just get cranky when Target won't honor their own coupons. They wouldn't take my Triscuit coupons either.
