I found some marshmallow skewers, generic gift bags, greeting cards, cartoon socks for children, a lot of fruit themed merchandise like magnets, sticky pads, memo pads, etc, and some cartoon themed notepads and bags and such, I think it might have been Hello Kitty but I'm not too familiar, maybe someone else could say. HTH!

At my target yesterday there was nothing left in any of the mark down bins..

BUT as you can tell by my siggy I love universal and they started putting some cat in the hat stuff in the bins.. woohoo

I found mr men and little miss stuff 70% off, microfiber cloths 70% off (great for cleaning eyeglasses) and bubble necklaces 70% off.

I found tons of plates,bowls,snack containers, cups with toy sort, sesame street cars, tinkerbelle, kitty. Hair bows with kitty. Water gallons, stickers, head bands, and sesamestreet books. My target had no signs up at all so the area was packed full, but they all scaned for 30 cents

Man my dollar spot was cleared within a few days, before I even got there. How often do they typically do this? I caught it once I'd like to try again

I would not use the words "never" and "doesn't"... I am in South FL and have personally bought Dollar Spot items at 90% many times.

I used "never" because it's true.
And it was the summer dollar items that went 90%, not the actual Dollar Spot items IN the Dollar Spot. Normal items in the Dollar Spot doesn't never not go 90%... (u like the triple negative?)

Here in Vegas the items used to go to 90% off but they have been getting rid of it on the Monday that it would go 90%. They destroy the items instead of selling it. They don't like the time it would take to ring up all the items people buy. Trust me I have purchased a lot of things at 90 and the people complained. 70% is the cut off.

I bought some things at 70% off. Some books that were 30 cents. Funny thing is the same books are in the dollar bin as of yesterday and are ringing up $1.00

The only items that get destroyed are potentially hazardous materials (the managers dispose of chemicals and the like), things that could never be resold (like used socks), etc. When items go salvage, they are green stickered, and shipped out. They are then usually sold either by the pound, or by the box, to resellers. It's a common erroneous assumption that all this stuff gets destroyed, and that they don't want to take the time ringing it up. They simply make more money by not selling it at 90% off.

Yea...they wouldn't just destroy it...thats how dollar stores and stores like big lots/ocean state job lot have brand name stuff for extremely cheap.

I think the thing about not wanting to ring them is funny...they're cashiers, they ring items...what exactly is the difference to the cashier what items are priced at what?

I have only seen then go to 50% off. . Our store donates the left overs to goodwill. There is always a big section of target donations with tags still on them but the price is usually more than it would be at target on clearance. Idk why. Lol
