I'm looking at this right now I usually have no problems with my kids eating veggies it's DH that's the problem. Maybe I'll use some of these ideas for him.

Schools are doing such a good thing about educating our kids about fruits and veggies and "healthy" foods... my daughter still thinks chocolate cake is healthy tho! ![]() I saw that Honey We're Killing our Kids show before... that morphing picture thing is crazzzzzzy! Tomorrow's O looks good too about a couple who spends way more then they make ... Oprah even looks disappointed in them.

I saw like the last half when they were showing the couple and their kids who were on the Honey we're killing the kids show.. I was just really stunned that two adults who were a pilates instructor and I think the dad was something in fitness? would allow their children to consume the foods that they were not to mention the amounts. I felt sorry for the kids. B ut I'm glad they got help and seem to be on the right track.

No problems here except DH. If you put fruit or veggies in front of DS he refuses to eat anything else. So, we actually have to save those for his 'dessert'. Meat on the other hand... thats a dept. we're struggling in. He used to eat it and all of a sudden he became a vegetarian. Which isn't bad its just I worry about him not getting enough nutrients and protein. Go figure!

I have this cookbook (it is Jessica Seinfeld) and it's pretty good. We do a lot of this with DS because he's such a picky eater. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it since I'm not really teaching him any good habits, just sneaking stuff in on him. But I do try to offer him healthy choices and limit the amount of junk he eats. And he is only 2.5. At this age their just impossible to reason with! Or at least mine is. Linz |

I have the cookbook and it is fantastic! So easy to get the kids to eat their veggies! If you all want some recipes, I will copy them and trade for q's!

After reviewing both books, I prefer the Sneaky Chef. Deceptively delicious is more of a cookbook vs. Sneaky chef which is more informative. They offer basically the same recipes. I use purees all the time as I am not a huge veggie eater. As long as the kids are getting their veggies, I do not see a problem with purees and "sneaking" it into their food.

I think this is a great idea. As long as we're still careful to teach them to eat their veggi's, why not sneak some in while they're not looking. I know when my kids were younger, there was no reasoning with them. Now that they're a bit older, they've learned to love carrots, broccoli, spinach and a few other yummy veggi's. But, if your child is absolutely refusing veggi's right now, then by all means sneak a ton in this way!

I'm a pretty picky eater AND I am a vegetarian. So my choices are so limited. Maybe I should use these books on myself |
