Watching the DNC. Hillary is about to come on. This is crucial. She really needs to bring it home and really impress upon everyone that Obama is who she is behind and who they need to be behind. And she's got to be sincere about it, KWIM? I'm not meaning for this thread to be a debate, I'm just saying that in order for this campaign to truly be successful, she's really got to make it work. Chelsea looks great! Say what you will about the Clintons, but they sure did something right with how Chelsea turned out.

Nope, that's not the reason....most of the coverage on tv is just ridiculous and it prob would have been ALOT worse if Hillary had won. The media is just out of control. I know who I am voting for and cannot be swayed the other way so I really don't feel the need to watch it anymore.

Yes, the media stinks all the way around these days. BUT, I am watching because we may just be making history with this election (well, we already HAVE!) if Obama wins. CM, you really should watch tonight - and let Jaden watch! ![]()

I have not had the chance to see the DNC tonight. I will once I go to bed. However, let me say this...I am still on the fence on who to vote for. No, I would never vote for McCain...I do not want the same...I may use my right and do the write in, and in that case write in Hillary. I am just not convinced that this man is right for us. I am sooooo afraid voting someone in, who has some muslim in him. I am not racist...its just during this time of war, I dont think it to be safe. I am also reading all this stuff on the Apocolypse of 2012, and how a charasmatic leader will lead the free people...and yadda, yadda, yadda. So, I am sooooo apprehensive. Are there any others out there like me? Am I a nut for believing in this 2012 stuff? Heck, I dont know anymore. I am soooo confused. But, I will def. vote democratic, even though I am a bi-partisan. Gosh, what should I do? Help!!!

Amidala, all I can say is - do the research yourself. Barack Obama is not, and has never been, a Muslim. That is HYPE that the Republicans and even Hillary Clinton put out there as a SCARE TACTIC. Unfortunately, it's worked for too many. ![]() I thought the speech was AWESOME!!! We don't need "more of the same" - we need someone who doesn't have their pockets lined with lobbyists money, who hasn't spend his entire life in DC, who has actually been out IN America working for the people, and who dedicated his life to doing so - when he could have been sitting in a cushy office raking in more $$$. I thought he did an amazing job!

I enjoyed the real people who came out and told their stories and especially Barney Smith who said we need change not Smith Barney, one of the best lines ever!

That *was* a great line: "We need someone who puts Barney Smith before Smith Barney!" And the retired nurse was from Pittsboro, NC - she did a great job too!!I also love the "8 is Enough!" reference.

The video story of Barack's life before he spoke too I think was ment to ease people's mind's of what his family was about just normal working class folks who did their best everyday to make the best lives that they could for themselves and their family. His speech was excellent because he knows what growing up "not being rich" feels like unlike the other side who has had one trust fund or two handed down to them.
