Oh man -

The Stones, McCartney, AND U2 in ONE week along with Shopz's birthday - and now they throw this at us - MONOPOLY is back starting 10/4.

You ladies don't understand, I am like a crack addict when it comes to MCD'S MONOPOLY - I have played it every single time they have EVER done it.

OK - So here's some basics and whatnot -

1) When you buy a Crispy Premium Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Premium Chicken Sandwich, or a 6 oz. Large Fry you get a "CHANCE" game piece. This has "BEST BUY BUCKS" on it. AFAIK they are the same as last time, a MINIMUM of $1 you can use just like cash and you can stack at BEST BUY for anything except gift cards. You will be AMAZED how many people throw these in the trash. Like I said on the show last year I was panhandling for these things and coming home every day with $50-100 worth of free BEST BUY BUCKS.

2) There is an instand win game piece on specially-marked 3- and 5-piece Chicken Selects boxes, Medium and Large Drink Cups and Hash Brown Bags.

Ask McDonald's for a free game board.

Just like in regular MONOPOLY the game pieces represent different spaces on the board. If you get all three of one color you win a prize.

What happens is in the first day or two everyone fills up the board missing one of each color, then you know which pieces are the "winners" basically. In the OLD days we used to trade them on the USENET because they were plentiful of some in one state, and dead in another, etc. But that was before McDonald's discovered the game was rigged. LOL.

OK - So on each game piece is a code of letters and numbers.

Go to www.playatmcd.com and register, then enter the codes from each piece. You will win a "big" prize like an ipod or PSP, or you will most likely get a "small" prize. The small prizes change on set days, and here is the schedule below of what the small prizes will be this time (Oct 2005) ..

Clearly you mostly want to play between October 25-31.

Now, here's the good stuff..

To request a Game Piece without buying something at McDonald's, persons in the United States, Guam & Saipan may mail a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage and their return address (name, street address, city, state, country, and zip code) legibly printed thereon to: Monopoly Best Chance Game 3.0 at McDonald's, Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 49519, Strongsville, OH, 44149. Return postage may be omitted on requests that are mailed to a return address located in Vermont. DO NOT SEND POTENTIAL WINNING GAME STAMPS, COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS TO THIS ADDRESS. Participants may submit as many Game Piece requests as they desire, but each request must be mailed in a separate outer envelope. Requests that are sent in business reply envelopes, are photocopied, are mechanically reproduced or are not mailed in separate outer envelopes will NOT be honored. One (1) Game Piece and One (1) Chance Piece will be mailed in response to each request, while supplies last. Mail-in requests must be postmarked no later than October 31, 2005, and received no later than November 7, 2005. If the Game runs long in restaurants, these dates are subject to a corresponding extension.

What does this mean?

It means you can buy $1 Best Buy Bucks all day long for 74 cents, unless you live in Vermont which means you get them for 37 cents. That means 26% off almost anything at Best Buy - Cannot be used toward purchase of certain products and services, including but not limited to, Best Buy Gift Cards, video game hardware, Bose(r) audio products, DIRECTV service, Apple(r) products, satellite radio service, Cinema Systems, pay-as-you-go wireless phones, HP ink and paper, taxes, state fees, installation fees, third-party purchases, special order items, Performance Service Plans, and Product Replacement Plans.

Here are the other terms -

1. To redeem Best Buy Bucks at a Best Buy retail location: To use toward the purchase of Best Buy merchandise in store, present to the Best Buy cashier at the beginning of the transaction. Limit of $3 in Best Buy Bucks may be used toward the purchase of any single CD or DVD. Limit of $300 in Best Buy Bucks may be redeemed per customer per store visit (all visits to stores in the same day are deemed a single "visit"). Limit 3 of any 1 CD, DVD or video game title per store visit. Identification may be required when $75 or more in Best Buy Bucks are presented for redemption. Also it's very clear to me you only want 1 account this year - as you go around the board online you collect properties as well.

Another thing I learned - if you have free food instant wins you will want to use these codes FIRST!

Something tells me I'm going to be RAOK'ing "Free McFlurry" coupons for a month.

So far I can tell that as usual Park Place is easy to get and Boardwalk is the chaser piece.
