by the time we let it slide it will either come or i will get my list of winners. i wont enter another contest of oprah's. other forums that i have been in people are really dissing her so i dont think she will have to worry about having to many entries for contest anymore.

yes, someone on FB even insinuated that the totes were sent out of the country, which wouldn't surprise me. Someone probably hacked the contest. But I still haven't seen any on ebay which is unusual.

i would hope she would be able to afford better security than that. surely someone at the mailing plant would say "hey, why are all of these going to china?" they could still send me the list of winners like i asked for.

Getting the list of winners would be superb!!! Too bad no one that requested one recieved it. I still think that if they went out, especially out of the country that at least one of them would have showed up on ebay. I have been doing searches , but haven't seen anything other than empty canvas totes she sometimes gives away at shows. I bet Oprah probably has no idea that people are upset over the totes.

Some people were saying that Allure fired a bunch of it's giveaway personnel and they ended up at oprah mag? Or something along those lines. Do you know anything about this?

i had not heard that, interesting. i went to snopes to see if i couldnt find anything and they have nothing on the web site. i thought maybe this would be a good urban legend. facebook is up to 38 post. someone even gave oprah some forums to check out. some of the places on the net are getting down right mean.

yea! I think i was on another board that someone posted about fired allure employees being hired by oprah. Maybe they were joking, I don't know. There has been no response from anyone on Oprah's team.

i heard she has been turned in to the inspector general. i dont know what good that will do, her word against the internet and you know the internet is ALWAYS true.

I just wanted to let you know that there is a fake "winners list" going around. Do NOT open it, or save it to your computer... it contains a trojan horse virus! I dunno who would actually take the time to create a list and post it, but they did!

i was actually going to tell you about that list going around, it is posted that there are lots of duplicates on it any how. LOL! i wonder if Oprah is still clueless?

I'm sure she is! No one has left any more comments on her facebook either. I did see the posts about multiples. The funny thing is that there was a "winner" in a zip code around my area. (dumb me opened the list before reading through the entire thread, not realizing there was a TH attached to it!) I'm wondering if some of the zip codes were made up as well. It's obvious that this is a fake list. This whole thing is all so dumb. I hate to admit my obsession with it, but I really wanted a bag, and half of the contests I enter, I forget about, but with this one, it was supposed to be this super cool thing she did every year. I bet there was something that happened with the employees giving them away (but i have not seen any on ebay either!!) or they never made up the bags to begin with. Sigh, this may be one mystery we will never figure out. At this point I would just like closure. It's probably true that oprah has someone manage the facebook page for her, and doesn't check it, and she has ppl open her letters as well, so everything is probably getting shredded that has anything to do with the totes. Sneaky sneaky! I wish someone would fess up to working for oprah that could help!!

I didnt see anything about that list having a trojen, however as soon as i clicked the link, i knew it was fake. I didnt save it to my disk. my computer was just reloaded about a month ago cause i clicked a link i shouldnt have clicked in a web site i should have been. DH was not very happy with me. oops. ABC breaking new, oprah said she will stop her show in 2011.
