InboxDollars pays, sort of

I finally reached the thirty dollar mark at Inbox Dollars after three months. I did it all with paid emails and daily surveys and avoided anything which would require me to give a credit card number or give personal information on a suspicious looking site.

Many of my daily surveys were never credited (I kept track of them) and I couldn't get a response from them when I complained about it. Figuring out exactly how to complain was difficult enough as contact information is not posted on the site and no one came to answer the "help chat".

But, I got to $30, finally. I was so happy to click on the request payment button.

Then the website says it is charging me a $3 processing fee, unless I decide to wait until I get $40, and that they will give me 30 days to make my total get to $40. If a "processing fee" was ever presented it was in the fine print, I decline the "generous" offer Now my total is $27. Then yes I am sure I want my thirty, now twenty seven bucks.

Congratulations! My request for a check will be processed on January 5, 2010.

Then I get an email stating that if my account "goes inactive" in between now and Jan 4 they won't pay out. No particular explanation of exactly what that means.

On a happy note they took the three dolars they didn'y pay me and put it right back into my account, calling it a "bonus" for staying with them.

I feel like I walked into a carnival ring toss game while waiting on line at the DMV.

Thanks for letting us know how it works. I think I am up to $10 with them, and planned on cashing out at $30 and calling it quits. I like MyPoints much better, and SwagBucks.

I agree with mocahmom25. It has taking me about a year to get mine up to $25.00. I usually use it to buy coupons off ebay. After I reach that I am closing(after i get my check of coarse) and just mypoint.
