Great news. On the front of today's Superfresh ad is a big announcement that they will now accept ALL competitor's coupons. I'm thrilled; I hated running to Safeway just to use 3-4 great coupons AND having to buy $10+ of other stuff! Now, I can bring my Giant, Shopper's, and Safeway coupons to Superfresh while I'd doing my shop.

I would suggest bringing this week's circular with you to the check out if using competitor's coupons until the cashiers get used to the new policy!

OK, I had to post this. I was at home looking up the ad for next week on line. My girlfriend called and said that she's going to Walmart for the free Rimmel mascara that she had a q for. (I know, I'm getting off topic). I called her back and told her to run into Superfresh to see if they have it because it says they take competitors coupon in tomorrow's ad. She didn't even end up looking for the mascara, but asked a cashier who told her that they wouldn't take it until tomorrow since it is technically in tomorrow's ad. She wasn't happy with that answer and proceeded to ask the CS person who said, "Oh, sure, we've been taking competitors coupons for over a year now". WHAAT??? I had no idea, but maybe some of you are better informed than I. Anyhow, she was able to use several Food Lion qs today on Lean Cuisines and was thrilled. It will be so nice to be able to get all the deals in one spot now, rather than running all over town!

Oh, doesn't that just kill you? But what a great idea - I'm taking my Rimmel coupon to Superfresh! I was only thinking grocery coupons like from Safeway . Duh!

I don't even know if they carry that mascara, but I have been reading that so many WM's are wiped out completely...it is worth a shot. Just was at Giant (I'm rediscovering them since they have started offering better deals) and they also had a sign up that they accept competitors coupons, now, too. I guess that is one nice thing about a bad economy...everyone is now actually working hard to get your business!! Let me know if you have any luck!

My Superfresh in Silver Spring doesn't take IPs. I didn't try any competitor's coupons this week - but I would assume since it says "All" competitor's coupons, a cat would be included.

If you try using a cat at your store, please report back what happened. I'll try and remember to present a Giant or Safeway cat next time I'm at Superfresh.

For those of you that get the Baltimore Sun in todays paper 3/26, about half way through the first section there are 2 coupons for Shoppers. (1) $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase (2) $10.00 off a $50.00 puchase. These are good 3/26 - 3/29. Use them at Super Fresh since they now take competitor's coupons....

Ok, tomorrow I am going to test Superfresh's new coupon policy.

Superfresh has Aleve caplets on sale this week for 7.49. I've got a $1 manu q, plus this week's Rite Aid ad has a $3.00 off store coupon. Should be $3.49 after coupons.

Shopper's Food Warehouse has a $3.00 off any more participating Nabisco products. Saltines are on sale 2 for $4. I have a $1 off 2 coupon. - so after the Shopper's coupon, I should get 4 for $4.

Lastly, Giant has a $10 off $50 I'm going to use.

I think if I get any pushback at all, it will be on the RiteAid coupons. They could maintain the coupon has to come from a grocery store ad, not a pharmacy chain - but we'll see.

I went to my Superfresh and was told that they only take other grocery store coupons, not walmart or drug stores coupons.

As jcher posted above, I was not able to use a Rite Aid coupon today - but they DID allow me to use BOTH of my $10 off $50 coupons - one from Giant this week, and Shopper's Food Warehouse has 2 coupons ( Surprise! ) in the front section of the Washington Post! One for $5 off $25, and one for $10 off $50!

I should have printed out a Target IP and seen if they'd let me use. There is a Target in the same shopping center as my Superfresh...

Now I've got an eagle eye out for coupons from other stores!

The week Shoppers offered $15 off for $75, I just took them to my local Super Fresh and they gladly honored them. I got a $160 order down to $79.87 after the $15 off, other double coupons, saving $4 a pound on flounder with a raincheck, and the ClubFresh card.

I was also told by the cashier after I checked out that a Safeway club card will also scan allowing you to purchase items on sale at Safeway at Superfresh for the sale price. I haven't tried this yet, but plan to go this evening so I'll see if this will work. I'm not sure though if it'll take scans of 2 cards for the same transaction. Also, not sure if this will work with any other grocery store club cards. Anybody else try this or know?
