I have a problem that has been going on for a while. I started collecting 10 Sunday newspapers in early August (5 NY Post, 5 Morris County, NJ). NY post has the RP and Morris County paper has SS. However, I am finding that the coupons that are supposed to be there are many times not. Some times as bad as 50% hit or miss. Like this past week, I lost out on 2 great sales because my inserts did not have them. Is there a paper out there that I can get all of them? Has anyone else experienced missing coupons? I am at my wits end and about to give up. Please help.

Coupon inserts are regional, not all areas get the same ones.

My area gets a smaller SmartSource. While a big city about 1 hour away gets the bigger SmartSource with more coupons. I know the feeling of not getting the coupons for the sale.

If you look under Coupons in the blue menu bar at the top of the page, there are several links to various clipping services. Also trading is other way to get the coupons you need.

Thank you. This brings up another question. In trying to find the right paper, I don't want to cancel current subscriptions only to find out there is no better paper out there. So, if I buy 1 of each at the convenience store every week, will they have exactly the same coupons as if I received the paper by mail? Thanks again.

I'm in NYC.. I buy the Newsday and they have the thick Smartsource, Red Plum & (P&G if available). Daily News is like the NY Post.. only the thin RP.

I know the feeling. I live in NJ & don't often get the q's everyone is talking about. There were some great Air Wick q's for $4 & $6; probably around 4 different weeks, & I didn't get them at any time!

Also, when people get higher value q's; .75 or $1., I get .25 or .40 (or $x/1), I get lower value q's (& $x/2).

I also started to get my papers at the dollar store, so they're $1 instead of $2; so I can buy twice as many; & since I don't buy alot, this is a great savings for me; & they only carry one paper, so I guess I settle for that one.

For the most part, I do get most of the q's everyone else does; but again, not all; & not the higher amounts.

It works for me; but I agree with the other posts; about how you can get the inserts if you want them.

Ideally, it would be great if you could get the better inserts in your paper; I totally understand; less work; easier all around.

It's the same way here. The local Statesman Journal ($1.50) has about 1/2 or less then the Oregonian ($2.00). It sucks

I have a neighbor that gets hers delivered to her, and her q's are not always exactly the same. Sometimes she may get all the inserts I have, but they may be the smaller version.

Are you having the papers delivered or buying them at the store? I buy an extra paper at the store but I check to make sure the coupons are in there before I purchase the paper.

Seems like this happens all over. I am in Ohio and I subscribed to 2 different newspapers. One paper always had good coupon inserts in the paper every week. The other was a toss up. Some weeks I didn't get any coupons at all. Both paper are central Ohio so you would think they would have similar coupons. I ended up canceling the paper that wasn't giving me the coupons.
What I did was talk to people I know who get coupons each week. They give me what they don't use and I pass the rest on to others.
Also, you can find alot of the same coupons online. If you are looking for a perticular coupon, try searching Google. For example if you are looking for Snuggle fabric softner just search for "Suggle fabric softner coupon". I have found several coupons this way.

i live in new hampshire and was having the same problem of not receiving my coupons. yet papers in the stores and other people i know did. i called the newspaper and complained and it has been pretty good so far. i think the delivery person was taking the coupons flyers from the papers. i told the newspaper that i subscribe to the paper so i can get these flyers and if i continue to not receive them i am going to cancel the paper. i suggest you call your newspaper and file a complaint. good luck blackcat35@myfairpoint.net

I feel for you ~ it took us awhile to figure out what was going on with our inserts as wel. And belive it or not we have to combine 2 papers to get the actual savings we were used to. For us that would be at least $2.50 newstand~Walmart price.

Thought I would mention, my 2 boys and I have started a clipping service We have extra inserts for new customers We charge $.25 per current inserts amnd $.15 for past week's inserts (also offer clipped). If interested, follow link in signature. Hope to hear from you soon.

I get one paper delivered and one I buy the night before. For the most part, they are the same but they stopped putting the Red Plum and the P&G in our paper and they dont send them in the mail any more either. I have some friends from my church who give me Red Plum and P&G and I sometimes buythe inserts I don't get on Ebay and sometimes I just buy coupons on Ebay.

I went to the Recycle bin to drop off my papers today and right on top, were 8 groups of inserts from the sunday paper. needless to say, as I put my papers in the bin, I reached in and took the inserts out that were sitting right on the top waiting for me to grab them.
