Does anyone actually use the meters (as oppose to just buying when it's a good price to resell, or if it's a MM)? The reason I ask is the meters are always free with q's; but the strips cost a FORTUNE!! Does anyone know how to get the strips for less?

Actually a bunch of us buy the meters so that we can use the strips in the meters (they usually come with 10 free strips in each meter)..so when you "buy" 10 meters with your Qs, that makes 100 strips for FREE as well and that is a huge savings because even with the $20 off strip Q, the strips are usually around $80 and when you have to test 3 times a day that 100 strips will only last a about 5 weeks!

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes; I know; as I said, the strips cost a fortune!

But I didn't know there were some meters that came with test strips for free! The meter I had gotten ($9.99 on sale at Wags less $9.99 MQ) didn't have any strips in the box/package with the meter; it specifically said it didn't come with any strips.

But that is good to know; thank you so much!! Yes; it definitely is a great deal to get the strips for free!!

This is the first time that the meter Qs have come out for this amount since I've been couponing (around May). I have been looking forward to getting some to help with $X/XX Qs. I have bought some of the meters when I had the $10 Qs getting them for free or free after ECB bucks from CVS. I read about the rebates but just didn't know about actually sending them in since technically I got them free.

Question: Do you send in for the rebates even if you get them for free? I did pull out the rebate paperwork and it specifically stated "after coupons". Does this mean their coupons or does that include ECBs? Can you tell me if you think this is ethical?

No.. people have tried and they either get a letter stating they used a coupon and already got it for free or they get a check with $0.00 amount written in.

On several occasions over the past year, the drug stores have put these meters on sale and with an ECB / RR. The sale price using the coupon makes the meter free (sales tax oop), and you get the ECB / RR.

There is one such deal coming up at Wags over the next couple weeks. And if past is prologue, we could see a few more of these deals during the life of this coupon.

Last sunday in the paper there were 2 coupons for the truvia, there was the $1 off and there was a free 50 pack coupon. I got 2 of those 50 pack free.
