I'm definitely excited about the Betty Crocker brownie and cookie mixes b/c I have SO many coupons for them. HT has them as 4/$5 this week, so definitely better at Giant this time. You can print more from the Betty Crocker website, BTW. I am always a sucker for Ben & Jerry's on sale, even if it's still expensive on sale and w/a coupon.

My local hard copy of the insert also has a $5 off $40 purchase coupon on the front page. Does anyone else have that? Our local store is competing w/a new HT and showing off some recent renovations so it may just be a local thing.

I went today and saw 3 items that are being discontinued. They were in the normal baking good aisle.

-Indian Head white corn meal 2lbs 50% off for 75 cents
-Arm & Hammer baking soda, in a small container 84 cents
-Betty Crocker pizza dough mix, comes in a pouch 50% off, forgot the price.

It showed up in my online version, too. I just checked yours online for Glen Burnie and it's not there. In mine, it's where the bacon is - the bottom of the front page. You know, I wouldn't have even noticed it except that when I was out for a walk today I walked past one of last week's flyers someone had thrown on the ground and saw the coupon. I almost picked up the trash, but did see that it was just valid for the last sale week. So happy to see it in the new flyer today! (Before anyone gets on me about not picking up litter, I had the baby w/me and it wouldn't have been that easy to bend down for it and I didn't want to carry litter with me while holding the baby.)

Thanks for the heads up on this. I haven't shopped Giant since the one in Southdale closed down. Do you shop at Crain Hwy or B&A? And would you mind sharing the name of your favorite cahier?
