I picked up a bunch of gr8 finds on the large clearance rack at Stop & Shop.
I stocked up on several boxes odf Organic carcker boxes for $1.50 and tiny generic water bottles at .5 ...much needed in our home and Bounce dryer sheets (a large box) $1.50. They had a slew of Cap't Crunch, etc. cereal boxes for $1.75 but we don't eat any of those.

I did a quick run to Stop & Shop yesterday, to use my newly 5% loaded card, and my gr8 finds from the clearance rack were: a bag with 10 bagels, for $1.50 (ate one in the car with a few slices of mortadella and provolone cheese from the deli counter), and ten bottles of Poland Spring @.25 each (beats paying $1.50 at the store), of which one bottle I had with the bagel sandwich. Pretty cheap lunch, huh? The rest of the stuff were dented cans and boxes of cereal that were opened.

I'm going to have to take a look at the clearance rack, if you guys found such good deals! I always assume everything on the rack is tainted, LOL. My DH is a germaphobe and I don't think he'd let me buy dented cans or anything, which is what I assumed it all was.

I used to find good deals on past-its-prime produce, though, most of which seemed perfectly fine!

Yes, do check the shelves - not everything is dented, or even outdated, at l eats not at our store in White Plains, NY. We get boxes (crackers cereal, etc) that are slight dented and that is it ..I have even seen hair product and diapers that are in good condition.

My store has a refridgerated end cap with some marked down items. I found Over the Moon chocolate Milk for 1.89 and had lots of tearpad .55cent off..doubled made each carton .79 cents. WOOHOO!
