Wow, September deals already! This week's Giant ad is pretty beefy - and the layout had me befuddled for a while, but if you take off the outer cover, the remaining contents more like a typical Giant ad.

There are dollar doublers this week! I haven't seen these dollar doubling coupons show up in the in-store ads in recent months, so I recommend asking friends or neighbors who are less likely to shop at Giant if they'll be using theirs. You can use only 4 in a trip totaling $15 or more, but for freebies, that incentive to do more than one transaction may be tempting enough. Especially cheap deals to be had with dollar doubled coupons will be bolded.

Can someone explain how Dollar Doubler matchups works? Will they only work on $1 off coupons? When the cashier scans the coupon, will it automatically scan and take off a $1 off an item? Do I have to tell the cashier a head of time on which item I would like use the dollar doubler coupon on?

For the coke - 4/$11 - if you have the $1/2 12 packs then you could get 4 packs - use 2 of the $1/2 and 2 doublers and get 4/$7 - not too bad!
There are $1/1 edge coupons out there too - if they are 2/$4 then you could use the $1/1 and a doubler to make them free.

I'm not sure if this is how it works everywhere, but in NoVa, the Dollar Doublers come in the mail with the Giant circ on Thursdays. There are four of qs in a circular and if you spend over $15 and have four $1 off qs, you can use all them (I live in an apt complex, so I always grab the circs my neighbors throw away and make several trips). They scan just like regular dollar off coupons, so you don't have to do anything special to use them. Just hand them over with your $1 qs.

Yes, $1/2 qs always work on Giant BOGO deals. I assume the same goes for Shop & Stop.

Did anyone have a tearpad for free Capri Sun when you buy a Nabisco multi-pack? I got the Snackwell 12 packs (5.49 on sale for 3.99) - used $1 off and got the free Capri Sun - but the limit on that was $2 and they were selling it for 2.50. I wasn't sure I could use both coupons but since I was buying 2 items, I thought I would try it. Man, I should have grabbed a couple more of the teapad coupons for another day.

In the same area (entrance) they had a large display of Kraft/Nabisco products in sort of a cardboard school bus. It had sections for the Kraft/Nabisco coupon book but they were totally picked clean. Glad I managed to get one at Shoprite recently. The coupons are good thoroughout the year and I thought I saw a MIR.
