Wow. Combining these deals resulted is some pretty nice deals! First, they had an offer in the circular - spend $20 on selected products (Some Newsmans Own, selected Barilla pasta & sauce, some Pillsbury, Daisy, Xtra Laundry, Band-Aids, Neutrogena, a few others). Here's what I got: 1 - Newmans Own Marinade 2/$5 no coupons (I know, but I wanted to try it out) 2 - J&J Band-aids - kid styles - 2/$5 - 2 $1 Qs, doubled = .5 each 2 - Daisy Sour Cream - at 3/$5 so 1.67 each - 1 .50 Q doubled, - 1 .6 coupon doubled = 1.14 for two! 4 - Barilla pasta at 10/$10 - no coupons = $4 2 - Xtra 2X laundry Detergent at 2/$4 - no coupons 2 - Pillsbury Brownie mix at 10/$10 - 1 Q (I think the coupon was for $1 off 2, it was not the coupon for the sugar free or reduced sugar) doubled = FREE My before coupon total for these product was 20.83. Since I received the $5 off my next order, the required total is defintely for the BEFORE coupon prices. I also picked up some Bagelfuls - 2/$4 - $1 coupon DOUBLED so FREE 2 AJ Pancake syrup - 2.99 - $1 wyb 2 DOUBLED (we needed this - I know it wasn't such a great deal) Sweet Baby James (?) BBQ sauce - 3/$5 so 1.67 each - $1 Q DOUBLED so money maker! 2 Arm & Hammer laundry det usually 4.99 each on sale 1.99 - $1 Q DOUBLED (I either had just one Q or the Q wa $1 off two, don't remember) I bought 2 packs of Perdue perfect portions at 7.99 each - 2 .75 Q doubled - $3 off $15 fresh meat - so 4.99 each. Issues: I used self-checkout but had a cashier come over to resolve a few issues. The printable $3 off $15 meat coupon (found on another thread - thanks!) wouldn't scan but the cashier entered it manually. I also ran into a problem using more than 4 doublers - I didn't know at most you could use 4 on one transaction. Since I had a friend with me, I nicely explained that we could separate our order into two transactions after the cashier voided this one and gave me back all my coupons (lots!) in the little self-checkout lockbox, and she decided to override the system and manually enter 4 $1 coupons. It really saved me (and her!) a lot of hassle and bottom line - either way would have resulted in the same totals. In the future, I will limit myself to 4 per order. Overall: Total before coupons & discounts: 75.29 oop: 31.72 - $5 back on my next trip! Liked it so much I went back this morning and to buy some papers and use more $1 doublers. (I know some people who didn't plan to use theirs.) As long as you spend $15 AFTER discounts, you can use 4 $1 doublers per order. Now I've got a freezer full of FREE Bagelfuls, bought my papers, grabbed some Barilla 2 lb sp. for $1 each (this is the normal 'sale' price for 1 pound, not TWO so literally it makes a good filler!). I scanned my items, then scanned my savings card, scanned one Q, then scanned one doubler. But accident, I scanned the next doubler - and it took. So I think technically, you do not have to even have a $1 coupon in order to use the doubler! I think it just counts as a $1 coupon. But I would make sure to include a $1 coupon per doubler. EDITED: I believe what happened was the $1 doubler was applied to another non-$1 coupon. I have since gone back again. I had a .75 coupon, 2 1.50 coupons and 1 1 coupon. I was able to use them all and use 4 doublers - so I believe it will double as long as you have at least $1 of coupons used for each doubler. Last edited by smarkind; 06-01-2009 at 06:22 AM. Reason: Edited to clarify doubler appling to non-$1 coupons |
