Do you have to spend $15 for each coupon? Or can I use all 4 in one trip as long as my total order is over $15? I've never used double coupons before in my life... I'm excited! |

The Fantastik will be 50 cents with the 1/1 coupons and the doublers.

| Someone posted somewhere that your total has to remain above $15 to use them. They had an issue because after the first couple doublers their total dropped to 14.xx and the next one wouldn't scan. I I gues you need to spend $18 or more to use all 4.

well, they're on to our tricks here in Worcester. The in-store flyer does NOT have the doublers. I only got them in my in-home mailer and, frankly, I had a difficult using them. I guess I just didn't have enough $1 coupons. I managed, mind you, but it took a while.

Meant to post: Manager at my store ( Colesville ) mentioned you can only use 4 of the doublers per day, each time with a $15 purchase. I was thinking about splitting my transactions into two piles of $15 or so, and using 8 coupons. He nixed that - but he nixed it nicely.

I know it's too late for this round... but actually they all scanned for me regardless of purchases (as long as the total was high enough, I guess). I couldn't find a few of the things I was going to buy, so my coupon plans changed a little. I figured I'd scan the doublers last and if I didn't have enough qualifying $1 qs they wouldn't scan. Wrong! They all scanned, but when I checked my receipt later I found I'd only used 3 $1 qs. The rest were smaller amounts and doubled anyway. The wording on the receipt was "SV $1/$15 purchase" so they were programmed more like standard $1 qs. Odd! We use the hand scanner and self check-out. |

I saw that here and in other coupon discussions elsewhere there was some confusion about the Stop and Shop doublers. I called my store and was told I had to spend $15 on EACH coupon. This ticked me off so I wrote to the company through their web site and received a reply yesterday (too late to use the coupons) that they were meant to be used all four of them with any purchase $15 or higher after the deductions. They said that they did need to do a better job being clear about the use of these coupons. If anyone wants to talk to them, their phone number is Consumer Affairs 1-800-767-7772 Option 3 then Option 6 to talk to Jackie. I'm totally disgusted because I didn't go use the coupons because when I called my store in Milford, NH they said at the customer service desk that I had to buy $15 for each coupon and I decided it wasn't worth that to save two dollars. In the message Jackie left on my phone she condescendingly said that they had gotten the information to all the stores but that probably the cashiers didn't get the word. However, I had phoned and talked to the customer service desk, which you would think had gotten information, right? Grrrrr. Didn't use the coupons....but at least the Stop and Shop people say they will do a better job next time in explaining the use of the coupons. They said there was a lot of confusion over this. I just wanted to post this here so any doubts over the use of the coupons is put to rest for future reference. |
