Safeway here in Maryland has a $10/$50 coupon out for this weekend, and also has a few others for butter, soda and something which I forget right now. i just went to Giant and they have a big sign on the door saying we honor ALL Safeway coupons. I'm not sure if it's all Giants or just this one, so call your store to check.

The Bowie one also has the sign up that they honor all Safeway coupons. Going to go look for that $10 off coupon....I didn't look, since I don't shop there.

The $10 coupon expired on Feb. 28. My Giant has the signs down now, so I think it was just for the end of last week.

As of yesterday, my Giant had this painted in HUGE letters across the front of the store that they honor Safeway coupons..but my question is...where do we get these? ..there is no Safeway anywhere around me..haha

Huh. I was going to hit the Giant doubler coupon today, and then go to redeem my Safeway coupons up the street.

I will ask at the CSD if they will honor Safeway coupons. Thanks for the tip!

ETA: The Colesville Giant WILL honor Safeway coupons.

I used Safeway coupons at Giant yesterday (got my total down from $63.13 down to $17.50!). I went back today since a new Safeway ad came out and I tried to make it easier for the cashier and wrote on the coupon how much they need to deduct. For instance on the Kraft Mac & Cheese (Giant price $1.00 / Safeway price .49) I wrote -.51 on the coupon. Of course the cashier is welcomed to double check my math but she was happy she didn't have to. I am familiar with all the cashiers there, so they know I'm not trying to cheat them.

The funny thing is, I don't even really shop at Safeway since its out of the way for me, but if Giant wants to give me their great deals, I'll let 'em!

I was in Giant two days ago and I too was told that they honored Safeway coupons. I presented them and sure enough they did. This was at the Giant in Clarksville, MD. I'm usually a Safeway shopper but Giant is making it quite convient to come back.

I wonder if this is why for the past 2 weeks Safeway hasn't had any coupons in their flyers. I just find it ironic that shortly after Giant starts accepting Safeway coupons, Safeway doesn't put coupons in their ads.

Just as an add, Superfresh is now accepting all competitor's coupons as well. A Giant $10/50 will come in handy during Triple Coupons at Superfresh!
