I'm all over those clementines - DS LOVES them - is there a way to preserve them or freeze them or something??? I guess I'll go tomorrow (if the weather permits) and then again on Thursday for another batch!

I suppose you could peel them and freeze them.  They never last that long here.

They don't last long here either, so I wanted to get a few of them and then freeze some for later. No big deal really, just wondering. Maybe I'll try 1 or 2 with the first batch I get and see how they do!

Wow! $ 3.99 for clementines in MD? Ours are $ 4.77 here and I thought that was a really good price! I'd like to know how freezing them goes as well. Ed. to add that I just realized that was my first post. Sorry I didn't introduce myself first! I'm Valerie, from MA. |

I'm Lorie and I'm from MA too! I always stock up when the Pepsi 12 packs are 4/$10 but with Christmas, my stash won't last very long!

Yes, it's nice to meet everyone!  to Valerie and Lorie!I just paid $4.88 (I think) for clementines yesterday ! I do have a bunch of coupons for the steamers. one paper had a $0.50/1, that will double and still be free! CTSunshine

Welcome! I only got 4 steamers and had to get a raincheck for the rest! Sold out only like 2 peas left and I already had a ton of peas!

I got 15, I am like an addict -- I have about 50 bags in my freezer. In addition to using them for side dishes, we use as key ingredients for recipes: the mixed vegetables in recipes like shepherd's pie (I add extra peas) and the broccoli in broccoli quesadillas, chicken divan, etc. I love having these on hand! I use the corn when I make soup. I often use frozen carrots for this too but I don't know if they make those in the steamers, I haven't seen them anyway.
