I haven't had a yard sale yet, but sent some of my stockpile (okay most of it) with my dad to the flea market twice. Here are the items that sold well and prices:

Shampoo (Herbal Essences and Sunsilk) - $1.50

Olay & Softsoap Body Washes - small bottles $1.50/large bottles $2.50

Bar Soap Packs (Olay & Zest) - $1

Embrace & Fusion Razors - $4

Soleil & Mach 3 Disposables - $3

Colgate Toothpaste - $1.50 (Crest did not sell at all!)

Glade Sprays - $.50

Glade Candles (Wisp & Scented Oil) - $3

Glade Plug Ins - $1.50

AirWick Minis - $3

I had some other stuff too, but this is what sold well here. Hardly any make-up or medicines sold, so I don't know if I priced them too high or what. Will be trying for a yard sale this weekend, so hopefully all will go well!

Here's a list of some of the items/prices from my yard sale today - I'm in Southwestern PA:

Off Powerpad lamps - 4$
Handi-vacs - 3$
Brita Pitchers - 3.50
Glade Wisp Flameless Candles - 5$
Air Wick Mini and Neutra Air fresheners - 3$

Most Shampoos/Conditioners - 1$ to 2$ (some priced higher and 'gave a deal' to people by letting it go for 1.50 or 2$)

Venus Gift Sets - 4$
Disposable Razors - 1$
Bic Soleil Cartridges - 2$ (4pk)

Most Deodorants - 1$

Bar Soap (bought as multi-packs, sold as singles - 50c a bar

Manual Toothbrushes - 1$ - 1.50

Toothpaste - 1$ (priced 1.50, gave a 'deal' for those that bought more than 1, people like those deals LOL)

Kandoo 50ct refills - 1$
Cleanteam small packs - 1$
Pampers Wipes (the ones with 3 refill packs) - 3$

OB Tampons - 3$
Stayfree Pads - 3$
Kotex Liners - 50c

Bayer Lose-dose chewable aspirin - 1$ (36ct)
Tums Quickpak - 2$
Benadryl 24ct - 2$

Sally Hansen Nail Polish - 1$

Travel Sizes - 25c

Jif Peanut Butter - 1$
Vlasic Pickles and Relish - 50c
Cheerios Snack Mix - 1$
Chips - 50c
Knox Gelatin (big box, don't know why I had it...LOL) - 3$

Stuff I couldn't sell - Scotchbrite Stainless Steel Cleaner Kits, Glade Plugin Refills, Expensive Face Wash, Mitchem Deodorant, Soft & Dri Deodorant, Visine, Power Toothbrushes, Crest Regular Toothpaste, Smart Rinse, Buddy Bars (this surprised me!), Hair color, Alka Seltzer, Zyrtec, Revlon Eyeshadows, and Nutritional Bars (like SoyJoy).

I only had a 1 day sale, on a Friday, from 8am to 3pm-ish. I only posted an ad on Craigslist, but held it during the community yard sale days, so people were in the area for yard sales anyways. My parent's house is not in the 'busiest' sections of town. I might have done better on Saturday - but it's just not possible this weekend, but figured it was worth a try for 1 day!

Thanks for all the prices. Trying to get mine ready.

Do you think a can of pledge would go for $2.00?

I had two sales this summer one at my house and one at MIL's I made $750 and $395.
I priced almost everything at $1.00 If you want to get rid of it and make money that's the way to go. Here are some othe prices
Blood Meters $5.00 - a wholesaler bought them all!
Glade Trios- $5.00
Glade and oust singles $3.00
Polly Pockets- $2.50
Razors- $4.00
Buddies .50
Diapers- $5.00 (Jumbo)
Nail polish $1.00 - Flew off the shelves

Charge what you think you can get. I hung up a sign that said I would not lower the prices on thses types of items. Only a few people asked me to and I said no. It's selling like wildfire!
I almost forgot- You know those makeup kits you buy at Walmart after xmas and they have 20 eyeshadows, 20 lipliners, 20 lipsticks etc? I took the box apart and priced each one at .50 would you believe I sold all of it! 1 80 piece set that I got at wally world for $2.00 made me $40.00.

Go through your entire house and look for things to sell you never know what you will find!

Pledge is around 3.50 reg price at Target, and 4.59 reg at CVS. $2 is a good deal for Pledge, so I think it would move. If you just want it to move, try $1.50 maybe.

You made a point about not knowing what will sell and those gift packages would be great to split. I will have to rememeber that.
