I don't regret stockpiling much. Just the medicine l, pain killers, liquid meds and such we are a family that doesn't us it unless we really need too. Other than that not much else. We were able to use up the 15-20 boxes of hamburger helper before they had gone bad. Salad dressing I get maybe one bottle every six months or so and most of the time we don't really use it.

I don't have many regrets but of course I do have a few! 1. Cereal-- I like to think we're going to eat it, but we never do. At least not in mass quantity. 2. Salad Dressing-- I hate bottled salad dressing--it tastes like chemicals to me. I only keep a few bottles around to bring to pot lucks. 3. Pasta-- I only get it when it's free and even then only a few boxes/packages. We rarely eat it. 4. Mustard--I love a deal and it goes FREE quite frequently-- I discovered over the past 2 years that we maybe and I mean maybe use 4 bottles a YEAR! 5. BBQ Sauce--Not my favorite! The only kind i like is a homemade one from the Salt Lick BBQ in Austin, Texas. If I pick it up, it's usually to GIVE away! 6. Toothpaste--It is easy to find a deal on it almost every week that makes it free or super cheap, so I gave away almost all of my stockpile and now I only pick up what I like. I only need about 12 boxes per person per year. We use maybe one tube a month per person. I have learned to control myself and not go WILD when I see an awesome deal on something that I don't really use or won't be able to give away. I hate to waste more than I hate to pay full price. |

Like others have said, I do not really regret my stockpile and savings I've received. There is always going to be some use of anything in my stockpile, whether we use it, or my family, or by donating it to others. Snacks have been my greatest defeat over this last year. We cannot keep up with eating them!!! But...thankfully, Halloween is coming up. And also, I've started a non-profit to benefit shelters and homeless surrounding my area. We simply bag all the little extras, basically the nabsico crackers/cookies....healthy snack foods, juice boxes etc and give them out along the way of our routes. I'd hate to waste anything, but I'm glad someone out there can have a bite to eat who truly needs it. We do this with other extras from my pile as well, such as travel size items, or simply other dry goods.

Salad Dressing without a doubt. I didn't realize how quickly it expired. I was giving away all flavors.

I have WAY to many boxes of Panko breading. Good stuff, but I don't think we will ever go through that many. I gave about half of them away. Also about 30 spray cans of Glade Air Freshener and probably 50 of those air freshener gel cones. I don't even like the smell of them. And I don't think we could ever possibly use that many. Wound up giving a LOT of them away. They were free and/or money makers, but I should have drawn the line |

No matter how often I thought I was keeping my stock rotated and used I was always shocked to find things that had expired a year or more earlier that I had to throw out . Even coke and pepsi products went out of date before we could use them and I truly didn't over buy that much. I don't see any way those folks on the extreme couponing show that stocked 2 freezers could possibly use that food before it went out of date or got extreme frost coating on it. I cut back drastically on food products because I could not stand to see that much stuff have to be thrown out.

I would never be able to keep Mtn. Dew around our house for long everyone in our extended family drinks it like water ![]() But i know what you mean its like a kick in the face when you find something expired I hate that feeling of knowing I have to throw something out when I could have used it, donated it or gave it to family/friends. I don't think those people can use all that food there's just no way |

Definitely salad dressing....when I first started couponing, Kraft had $1.50 off any bottle. I ordered a bunch and went to town for nine cents a bottle. Wooohooo, right? ![]() One I haven't seen mentioned is crispy taco shells. Those are nasty after they're expired. Blech. I don't load up on the junkfood free/cheap stuff anymore - I"ll get a little bit, and I'm good until the next sale. I'd rather spend $$ on fresh f&v, meat, etc. |

Pudding is one thing now that I think about it I regret stockpiling. Thankfully it has a long shelf life. I'm the only one that's been eating it . Can't keep enough cheese and juice in the house though.

I don't think there's anything I regret stockpiling...maybe a few Rice Crispies boxes (bc I had bought so many for the multiple rebates going around last year). Just keep in mind that even though things have expiration dates on them, it doesn't always mean that they have gone bad. Check out this article: Do Food Expiration Dates Really Matter? The only things mandated to have expiration dates on them by the US government are baby formula and some baby foods. Everything else is just a guideline. Now, obviously you aren't going to eat a steak that has been sitting in your fridge for 3 weeks uncooked. BUT the mustard that is 4 months past it's "use by" date is perfectly fine. In fact, it's most likely going to be good for a LONG time after it's "use by" date. You just may need to shake it up a bit more to help it mix back up thoroughly.

Aunt Jemima's Syrup, loaded with HFCS & we don't eat Pancakes often. I'd rather have a nice floral local Honey that is 100 times better or make Homemade Syrup. I did get Maple Extract that expires in 5 yrs to put in a simple syrup made with Brown Sugar & H20 if we have company. |

| Barilla Pasta ~ @ a quarter, it was a good price (as I don't double) but uhhh - I didn't need 20+ boxes, when I've learned, we'll only go thru a couple of boxes per YEAR
