My jaw is dropping at the price of the Peanut Butter!!! I'm so jealous! LOL. We go through about 4 jars a month here and I almost never see a deal on it. It's one of those things that we just have to pay full price for because I never see coupons or deals on it. The Soda on the other hand.... My family does really like Pepsi 2LT's and I try to buy extra whenever it's less than $1 which is routinly. The dollar stores around here have name brand sodas $1 all summer. I like to stock up at Aldi's and Big Lots here though. I can get cola at Aldi's at (I beleive) about $0.64 ea and then I go to Big Lots where they routinely have Orange, Grape, Lemon-Lime generics for $0.75 ea. Around here the Meijer brand Cola and the Aldi's Cola are the only two that taste similar to Pepsi IMO. As far as the other flavors from Big Lots goes,,,, I can't taste a difference so why pay more!

I'm kinda confused by the TP price... I don't get the $0.01 per square inch price. Should that be per single sheet maybe? Scotts TP has 1000 sheets per roll and runs around $3.99 full price for a 4pk. That would equal about $0.01 per single ply sheet at full price around here. Each sheet of Scott is 4.1in by 3.7inches so each square of toilet paper is 15.17 square inches. That would make each single ply sheet cost $0.15 each and a roll cost about $150 and a 4 pack about $600! Is my math off tonight or is that a typo?

Last time I stocked up was when Albertsons had the 9 oz Dawn on sale for .79 cents. I had .50/1 non-insert coupons which made it FREE (no overage). I think I got about 16 ![]() If you have a store that doubles, the small (9oz or so) Gain liquid dish soap is regularly priced at $1.19 at my store, so with .50/1 coupons, it would make it .19 cents, which isn't too bad. ![]() Back in the day when Kroger would double coupons in Texas, the Dawn would go on sale 10/$10 and a .50/1 coupon would make it FREE. In my area, free Dawn happens, but it is not a regular occurrence. Perhaps 4 times a year or so! The same can be said about Gain dish soap. |

Doing it by the rolls doesn't always work for me. Some rolls are bigger than others... some rolls are smaller than others. So .35 a roll would be GREAT for one brand and not-so great for another. It would depend on how many square feet are in each roll to make it a true comparison. The 0.01 a square foot rule is a real way to make an apple to apple comparison. This is a great thread that shows the different square feet of toilet paper by brand. This lady did an amazing job compiling all of the information for us! Toilet Paper Information |

15.17 sq inches per sheet x 1000 sheets = 15170 sq inches 15170 sq inches / 144 = 105 sq ft per roll 105 x .01 = 1.05 per roll Most tissue is double ply instead of single ply, so fewer sq ft per roll. |

I understand how to do the math, that's why I'm asking if it's a typo. The attachment says 0.01 per sq INCH and that didn't make sense to me. Sq foot or even sq peice might make sense but not the sq inch listed.
