Cereal: I try to stay to $1 a box (and the good size boes, not the tiny ones that last 20 seconds

*Brownie mixes – free to $.20/box
*Cake mixes – free to $.50/box
*Chocolate chips – no more than $1 per bag

Canned Goods
*Canned fruits – $.50-.75/can
*Canned vegetables – $.25-.40/can
*Chef Boyardee – no more than $.65/can
*Soups – $.70/can for “cooking” soups and $.50-.75/can for other
*Cereal – FREE-$1 per box
*Cookies – $1/package
*Crackers – $.50-$1 per box
*Fruit snacks – $.50 per box (10 snacks)
*Juice – $.75-$1/bottle (64 oz Juicy Juice or Mott’s apple juice)
*Pasta – free to $.50 per package
*Pasta sauce – $1/jar (this is for Ragu, Prego, or Barilla)
*Peanut butter – $.75/jar

Dairy
*Cheese – $.49-$.99/package (long expiration dates)
*Cream cheese – $.99/package (Philadelphia)
*Sour cream – free to $.99
*Yogurt – $.25-$.35 per cup ( Yoplait)

Meat
*Beef:
Beef roasts – $.99/lb
Beef round steak – $.99/lb
Ground beef – $1.99/lb (for 90% or higher lean)
*Chicken:
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts – $.99-$1.69/lb
* Pork:
Pork chops (boneless) – $1.39/lb
Pork spare ribs – $.77/lb
Pork roasts – $.99/lb

HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES
*Bathroom cleaners/toilet cleaners – no more than .75-$1 each
*Dish soap (liquid) – free to $.50
*Dishwasher tabs – free to $.99
*Hand soap – free to $.50
*Kleenex – $.50/box
*Laundry detergent – $1 – $2
*Multi-purpose cleaners – $.75 – $1 each
*Paper towels – $.25-$.50 per roll

For all the new couponers out there remember that your stockpile list will vary from region to region and will depend on whether you have stores that double or triple coupons. I'm in Iowa and there aren't any doubles here (oh how I wish). Thanks to those who have posted their lists. I am always interested to see what others can get for free. My most common freebie is toothpaste.

Hi, I'm new to couponing and would like to know how you can get cereal for $1 per box? I love cereal, it's something I eat every morning for breakfast but I can't seem to do better than $2-$2.50/box. Am I doing something wrong? The coupons that I normally see for cereal are $1 off 3 boxes and usually they are on sale for about 2/$5-$6. How can I increase my savings?

My stores double so that really helps. Like just this week Bi-Lo had Cheerios 2/$4, after the .50 IP coupon doubling I got them for $1 a box. $2 for a box of cereal isn't bad at all. I would get a few at that price if its something my family eats. Especially since they are up over $4 when not on sale. Keep up the great job and welcome
