Anyone use see-through plastic bins for storage?

I was thinking of storing dry stuff (pasta, cereal, baking stuff, etc) since right now my freezer is too small for all of that. Do you think bugs can eat into a 'rubbermaid' container? I was thinking of the clear plastic bins since I can see what's what without opening the top.

I use the clear plastic bins & they work great! Never had a problem with bugs getting in anything.

As long as they seal you shouldn't have a problem.

you might want to freeze first just to make sure there is not anything already in them.

That's a good idea only sometimes I have enough space to freeze. I'll look into this though because we LOVE pasta and dislike buggies.

Oh ya, I love the Rubbermaid clear plastic containers b/c I cannot take those buggies. I use it for meal and flour too. I have not had any problems at all just make sure its sealed. U will love it!!!!!! Great storage container in my book.

Do you use the plastic containers to store stuff like cereal, rice etc inside your home or do you use them for storing in the garage? I keep dry goods like that in the pantry inside the house but would love to be able to keep it in the garage if the containers seal things tight enough.

I'm glad you brought up this topic because I still need to get some of my pasta into containers. I have boxes of spaghetti and bags of noodles on the shelves downstairs and definitely don't want any critters getting into them. I usually put my dry pasta items in Tupperware Modular Mates. The seal is super tight and keeps everything fresh and pest free.

I recently started freezing my pasta for this reason. Does anyone know if you just freeze and take out the next day or keep frozen until using?
