chips are a big one since DH will go through a bag a night. If I don't put them in the kitchen cabinet, then he has no clue what I have, so i can always stash them in the basement with everything else. There is too much going on in there and he never looks. It's so funny when he tells me we're out of something.... I'm like did you check the basement store??? Sometimes I wonder if he really lives here.

There is only two of us. Cereal, or anything he sees alot of. I could just slap him silly some weeks. We used to go months and not have any cereal in the house. Now he will eat sometimes like there is no tomorrow. I am hiding my stockpile to. It just makes me so mad when he does that.

Bread and milk.. I could buy 20 things of milk and they'd be gone with in two weeks. It's just me and my daughter who drinks it but I drink it with everything. I give it to my daughter at every meal becasue the doctor said she doesn't need it all the time. And bread.. my boyfriend LOVES sandwiches.. I bought 10 loafs like 2 weeks ago and it's already gone..

| Twizzlers I don't think they are even a qualified stockpile item. But I have to try to keep them in the house, right? And Hot Tamales - those never even make it all the way home without being opened. Maybe it's just red stuff...

LOL!! I agree on so many of those...soda, junk-snacks (as I call 'em), pretty much anything I consider unhealthy...I usually only allow one or two of these once in a while for that reason). Blessings! Mel |

The only three items we have had problems with are: Salt and Vinegar Kettle Chips Mr Salty Choc covered pretzels and any type of whipped cream or Cool Whip. It's funny because my kids know not to take things out of the store room without asking. I put the food we are allowed to eat in the kitchen. And they are really good about it, polite kids...but I have seen my son fly into a rage when he found an empty bag of chips...all three of us are guilty. They are SOOOO addicting....my daughter can't control herself with the choc covered pretzels so I hid two boxes in my bake ware! (for me!) and the Cool Whip just infuriates me when I go to the freezer to get it and it's GONE and I need it for a recipe. "I didn't know you wanted it!" Just let me tell you though none of your stories top this, my best friend's step son (19) is on this banana diet. He eats about 40-60 bananas a day---that is it. This has been going on for about two years now...it causes so many problems in the family and can't possibly be healthy. I mean it, they are trying to get him to a psychiatrist. Stockpile fresh bananas??

That banana diet sort of cracks me up!! I mean, I would think he would have NO bathroom difficulties, but difficulty with going too much!! Yeah, I think he really needs help!! Although I don't know how very healthy my eating habits are either!! (And least it is a VARIETY of bad options!!)

The average medium banana has 105 calories. So 40-60 a day means 4200-6300 calories a day. The K levels would be enough to cause Hyperkalemia. And bananas are used in the Congo for long boat rides with no toilets to stop up the system and keep people from going. That kid has got to be in bad shape. Even if the psych isn't available he needs a med doc quick.
