| How Long Have You Been Stockpiling?
Just wondered how long you've been stockpiling and what made you decide to start. As for me, I was tired of running out of things too quickly and hated going out in bad weather because it was something I just couldn't do without, like coffee I started my stockpile last September and it's growing weekly. How about you? |

I don't stock pile like others here but I do have multiples of items stocked up. The weather here is kind of unpredictable, summer can equal rain storms and high winds, and winters well they usually are horrid. I prefer not to lug alot of stuff around in that kind of weather. Plus getting things for very little money makes me one happy camper!!!

If there is a good deal or especially a freebie I buy as much as I can afford or get my hands on, the weather is not an issue. I just can't stand the idea of running out and having to pay full price to replace it. I've only been couponing about 3 months

I've been stockpiling and couponing for about a year and a half. I stockpile so I don't have to make that list every week and spend money on things I can get for free. I used to write my list, go to Walmart and spend about $200-250 a week and no, I do not have the budget for this, but I had to feed the kids. Now, it is like $75 to 100 a week and that is whatever is a good deal, free, almost free, meat and produce. We hardly ever have to actually buy toiletries, condiments, rice, dish soap, cleaners, canned goods, among other things. It is so nice to shop from my linen closet and my pantry.

I tried to stockpile when I lived with my mom but it wasn't easy. So I've been trying to really stockpile for just a couple of months now. I do it so we don't have to spend a ton of money when we go to the grocery store. It also makes me more creative when cooking because I can use what I have in my stockpile rather than going straight off a recipe and having to buy everything I don't have. I also love it because I always have a gift of some sort. We're trying to get out of debt so spending money on birthday's and xmas's are not an option for us anymore.

I have been stockpiling for years - without realizing that was what I was doing. It got REALLY intense about last summer - started with cat food and salad dressing. Now, it's Vitamin Water 10. |

I have been stockpiling for almost three months now.... it is more the addiction of shopping and getting things free/cheap. My grocery bill is much lower not having to buy a lot of items I stockpile. Mainly Bodywash, deodorant, cleaning products, TP, bbq sauce, etc.... pics are in my stockpile link

I've been stockpiling for years and started as a way to save money. Then it was how cheap can I get my items for, then they started paying me to take items (when HT gave overeage at triples) now its more the thrill of the hunt for me.

I think I've always stockpiled. I remember being in the dorm in college freshman year and wondering how in the heck any girl could ever run out of pads or tampons (because there was always someone who needed 'just one or two' until they could go buy some)! I just thought everyone knew when it was coming so they would always have a supply on hand. Turns out, not everyone stockpiles! I've been stockpiling for my family for 2 years now.

I've only been doing it for a few months, just what I can afford at the time b/c we're on a really tight budget. I do like that I get my weekly groceries for less than 50$/week most times and that allows me a little leeway for stocking up on things. I love it, it's like a fun little game!

I have been stockpiling for probably 5-6 months. It's my one and only hobby. I am sure most people don't have hobbies that SAVE them money!!
