Great tips, we are buying another freezer so that we can buy more frozen foods on sale but also to keep our baking goods in there also.

I noticed this too recently - My store had cheese on a really good sale and I was well-armed with double coupons and store coupons for it, but once I got there...the date was SO close that I just couldn't justify buying it. You REALLY have to check dates before buying!

Just this week, I've noticed that open things have taken over. Used to be both open and unopen were together in the cupboard. Now unopen items are not allowed because I simply don't have the room. Who can put 30 cans of coffee in the regular place with the one you're using? So now I have moved everything unopened out and what a relief. I felt so "squashed" before, but now I can find and see things. However, my clothes closets and night stands and whatever else I can find - that's another story. We don't really have a place to build shelves, as great as that would be.

I'd love to have another freezer and/or fridge, but no room for that either. I will never be able to take a picture of my stockpile, because it is spread all over, both inside and outside. But it's there. And when the aliens invade or little green men from Mars come, we'll be set. BTW, we have been adding distilled water to our stockpile. We have a little counter-top distiller and now and then make an extra gallon to save. Don't want the aliens and little green men to pollute our water, eh?

You are welcome. the best way to get multiples of coupons I find is ask neighbors, family members, friends for their sunday inserts they arent using, join coupon trains and you can get multiples on there, you can also trade with different users on here and a coupon train group for coupons on your wishlist, I also go through the local newspaper recycle bins we take our garbage to and get inserts that way. the coupons I dont use I offer to people for an SASE.

I've never done any stockpiling, but now that I want to get into coupon'ing seriously, I'm going to give it a try.

For some reason I go through a LOT of toilet paper and there are only two of us here. I'll be snagging those deals when I see them, and also things like mayonnaise/miracle whip that I go through a good amount of too.

I do have a freezer and need to make it worth the electricity to run it. It's rarely even half full, so I need to take advantage of it. Thanks for the kick in the pants!

Nope, sure don't. They've been coming since I was a kid, and not here yet. I do hear tell that sometimes over Arizona people think they see UFOs, so maybe they're on the way. Just keep your electrasol gun loaded. Your kitties might be all grown up by then, and can claw them to death.

I havent started stockpiling yet but NEED to, I have two kids in collegge and one lives in the dorms and hoping that the other one moves out soon, I can realy use tips on stockpiling anything that can be taken off to school and kept their to make our byweekly shopping a lot easier. Fro starters howo much is to much? ( if their is such a thing ) and what is the first thing to start stockpiling? Are somethings easier to stockpile then others? Just a few questions to get my brain started on the right track.
Thanks

Are there no problems/issues the city or garbage collection people pose to you about the 'dumpster diving'...Is it completely legal? Can I get into trouble doing it?
Thanks!

What have you found to be the best way to make sure you use everything before it expires? Do you write the dates on the tops where you can see them or do you just go through everything every few months?
Thanks! I'm starting my stockpile and have noticed I definitely need to rotate, but unsure of the best method. Just wondering what YOU do?
Thank you!

I write the dates on the items, nice and big, and I always use a Sharpie pen.
