This stockpiling is a lot easier to do if your not on a fixed income.

I am not on a fixed income, but on a fixed budget! I started out spending an extra $5.00-6.00 a week or every two weeks on something that I did not need but was on sale and had a coupon for. For example: My family likes Hungry Jack Pots. They were on sale for $1.50 I had 5 $1.00 off coupons so I bought 5 boxes for 2.50. There was also a sale on J & J baby wash for $2.50 I printed out 2 $2.00 ip coupons and used 2 $1.50 coupons I had. I spent $3.00 on 4 bottles of J&J. Therefore, I spent only $5.50 and got some products that my family will use and hopefully will last until they are on sale again. I hope this helps.

Yep, just start slow, and do the free deals. There's no hurry.

Many people here also started slow. You might have to use travel size for awhile until the savings add up enough to be able to spend a little bit more. Its not all about stockpiling so much as saving money via coupons and sales. When you run into free stuff stock up!

I know exactly how you feel. I am on a fixed income and recently lost my job. I am still trying to do as many deals as I can at CVS ( I am trying to learn how now). I am also trying to show some of my neighbors how to stretch their incomes using ECB. I am new at all of this and trying to figure out one store at a time. Debi |

Last month, I did the CVS "free after ECB" deals combined with coupons. Sure, I didn't need the Vitamin D, but I had a Q for $3 off a CVS brand. So, I rolled that very limited coupon into a $2.99 ECB that I can use on anything. I've been couponing for a while just to get the necessities, but I recently started couponing for fun stuff. The Clairol clearance at Walgreens has got me stocked up for a LONG time, thanks to coupons. It's tough, but it can be done. Just keep your eye out for those RR/ECB goodies, and keep them rolling. I've already got a mini stockpile going on with very little OOP.
