Newbie asking a Question on Stockpiling Diapers

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know the process of stockpiling. How do you save money on so much diapers? How do you get the coupons? Do you trade, wishlist, etc.? The reason why am asking am new to the site and would like to know. I have a 1 year old that is making 2 March 2nd yeah!!! She wears a size 5 in diapers and am trying to potty train her so I would like to start buying pull-ups as well. Can anyone help me? Diapers is the most expensive purchase that I have. I usually spend about 21.99 every 2 weeks for the big box of diapers. Any suggestions will help, Thanks!

The coupons usually come in inserts but really GOOD coupons come from the manufacturer. Alot of the times if you compliment or complain they'll send you high value diaper coupons. You can also get alot of the coupons through trades. Alot of people are not brand specific so whenever a diaper deal is really good they'll buy some. I perfer pampers and so I consider $.15 a diaper or better a really good deal. But Pampers diaper deals are hard to come by. You can also combine Target coupons with MFC coupons and that's where I seem to always find the best deals. HTH

just have a stupid question....you say you like .15 a diaper, but how do you work that out when you have a bigger size that has fewer diapers? wouldn't the same great price for size one diapers making them .15 a diaper make the sizes bigger than that more per diaper?? So then is that not a good deal anymore??

How to work out the price per diaper.
you take the total amount of the purchase (I also calculate my tax I pay in it) and divide by the number of diapers
Example:
Pampers 9.99 * 1.06 (depending on your sales tax it might be .08, .07, etc) = $10.59
Divide that amount by number in package 30 (size 5) .35 a diaper.....
If you are using coupons take the coupon total off the amount after tax (some states tax the total before coupons)

If walgreens is having a killer sale on diapers (about once every 6 months) it might be worth the drive. It is for me.

Make sure to sign up for coupons on the diaper websites:

Diapers, Baby Care, and Parenting Information at Pampers.com
HUGGIES® Baby Network-Country Selector
Diapers, Wipes, and More at Luvsdiapers.com

Match coupons up with sales.

Load ecoupons to your store cards... It varies depending which stores you shop at...

Cellfire - Mobile coupons for your cell phone
Shortcuts.com - FREE Grocery Coupons that link to your grocery card
P&G eSAVER

You might consider signing up for Upromise as well. It's a college savings account:

Money for College from Shopping, Restaurants, Gas, more - Upromise

As for the deals... I buy Walgreens diapers for the most part, but will buy other brands too if I can get them for a decent price. Whatever stores you have to shop at, be sure to check those forums out here at AFC to see when the diaper deals come around... Target has a decent one every blue moon as well for Pampers.

You can find/get qs for diapers everywhere (manu, Sunday papers, cereal boxes - Cheerios had $1.50 off Pampers.) Of course, trading in the FSOT forum is also an option. I personally use store brands during the day for DS and brand names at night or when going out. I have stockpiled a lot of diapers during CVS EB and Wags RR deals. For me, I compare the price per diaper (whatever size it is) to how much it is in warehouse clubs like Sam's or Costco. You do not have to be a member...you can look at their prices on-line. I think $9 is the lowest sale price I have seen lately for Jumbo packs (whatever size even Pull-ups)...combine that with manu qs and RR/EB deals and it's really a good price. NEVER buy regular price though even with a manu q(unless desperately needed)...stock up on weeks they are on sale because, even with a q, the savings are still far better when you buy it when it's on sale. HTH!

do you have a longs or costco or sam's nearby. A couple of weeks ago Longs had diapers on sale plus on rebate this month that made diapers cheap. Also I find that if I don't have coupons that Costco is the best price for pull-ups. Costco also will have coupons so recently I stocked up on pull-ups at a great price

if you have a cvs near you, the first week of march they are doing where you buy $20 worth of pampers products, you get $5 ecb, the jumbo pk is $9.99 and wipes I think are 2/$5! have a walmart? they price match, so watch for that too. Target is big about marking down the big boxes of diapers, ask any associate about there average timeframe. I would def. contact huggies/pampers and sign up so you can start getting coupons. They send you quite a bit! Oh check with your grocery stores!

do you have a Target? Target has diapers on sale this week! also, if you go online, enter code TCBBYFS5 and you get $5 off of a $50 purchase. The catch, you can't buy just any pampers online. They only offer a huge box,$44.99 and it seems expensive but the cost per diaper isnt bad:
The best out of all pampers is the Pampers Baby Dry Diapers
sz 1 252 diapers avg 18 cents p/d (dont have a cent sign?!?!?!)
sz 2 228 avg 19 p/d
sz 3 204 avg 22 p/d
they have 5 and 6 too, but i didnt write that down.
heres the other deal, they are offering free shipping on those diapers! But to get your $5 off you would need to spend $50. But the reg price isnt a bad deal. So it might not be worth spending $50 to get $5, cause youd be paying shipping on the other item! Check it out.

Usually when a store has a sale on diapers the training pants in that brand are included also. There are usually $2.00 pullups coupons in the sunday inserts. Combine those with a good sale and you get a good deal. Also look for sales on store brands. They can be just as good as name brand if not better and sometimes the deals are really hot. Look around and do a little research. Get to know the prices of different brands and then you will know if a sale is good or not. It takes a little bit of effort but it is very possible to get cheap diapers and training pants.

Sorry if this is repeat from other posters...this week there is a huggies deal at CVS buy $25 get $10 ECB. Combine with q's and it's a great deal. Also walgreens has diapers on sale for 2/$9. Ask for the $50 savings coupons at the pharmacy and there is a $2/1 q. so $2.50 per pack really can't beat that!

OK...I just got 2 packs of Huggies Supreme (size 4's 30 count) for a total of $5.00

CVS...I had a raincheck from last week. I bought $5 worth of formula, so they gave me a raincheck for Buy 2 packs of diapers for $10 each, get $10 ecb back.

So, I get to CVS and scan my card. A $2 CVS CRT prints out.

I take my 2 packs up to the register and the lady that waits on me says instead of having to reprint the $10 ecb, she's just going to price adjust the two packs down to $5 each...I said that sounds great!

$10 - for 2 packs of diapers after the lady price adjusted down
-$3.00 - $3 of 2 packs of huggies snail mail coupon
-$2.00 - $2 CRT CVS coupon
$5.00 - oop

I wish I'd had a $/$$ coupon...all I had was $20 of $100...and really didn't need that much stuff.
