Meat question on stockpiling.
Is it smarter to buy like a 1/2 of cow or pig..ect. I live in NE. My family lives off of beef,and pork.

Your meat [especially if you buy grassfed on the hoof and know where it comes from and who does the processing for you] - will be way tastier and healthier. If it'll be less expensive I can't say as I don't know where you buying from. Ask around - you will like the flavor if you like for real meat - I grew up with homeraised pork, chicken + fowl - there is simply no comparing to store bought.
