Sure EMS! Welcome! ![]() Having oatmeal for breakfast. Some pineapple for mid-morning snack. Not sure about lunch yet - possibly more oatmeal (kinda burnt out on rice already this week ) or a big salad.

To mix things up I guess we can try different spices, fruits and veggies. I was also thinking if we do vegitarian chinease(sp?) food we should be good to go

Instead of my regular banana and peach, I am having Pineapple and Apples today. Really mixing things up huh? I can't wait until we can start eating normal. LOL - after 9 days, we can have cookies! WOOOHOOOO! |

You guys are leaving out some of the best veggies. How about corn on the cob? Or snap peas with a light lemon sauce? Or my favorite . . . brussel sprouts! I'd join in but I can't just yet . . . still breasfeeding the LO. I going to try a modified version, though. |

I switched it up from what I'd planned for today: 9:30 - banana & blueberries (um, how'd I eat a whole pint?? )12:30 - mixed green w/grape tomatos & Wishbone spray balsamic dressing; fat-free yogurt 3:30 - oatmeal w/cinnamon and sugar-free caramel syrup not sure yet about dinner - have a meeting at church so I'll probably just have some fruit and oatmeal. |

I think we should do % of weight lost, like the BFL teams. That makes it more fair. What do you all think? I'm only down 1/2 lb, but not losing hope! Last edited by mpayne; 07-30-2008 at 11:51 AM. |

Girls, I want to say thank you all. Why?? because as soon as I read this thread it motivated me to start taking charge of my weight. I am 30 lb over, 20 lb from my daughter and 10 from my son's pregnancy. I ask my DH, everytime I start dieting, to help and motivate me but never really helps me (he just tells me OK to keep my mouth shut). Bu this time, I am doing the soup diet (if anyone wants the diet, let me know, its really good), today is my first day and DH TOO ![]() I didn't joined you all because I was sure my DH didn't wanted to help but this time he really did. I am doing it on my own.

EMS, I'd like to do this too, but honestly couldn't start until next Tuesday.... we are going out of town for my b-day and that would just be torture. If you want to wait, we could go in together in a competition next week. LMK.

This one sounds good! Fat Smash Granola 1 cup oatmeal 1 egg white 1 teaspoon oil 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla Mix it up and spread on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes at 300 degrees. Stir it up again and bake it for another 8 minutes or until it lightly browned and crunchy. |

What I ate yesterday: 4 Egg Whites 1 Banana 1 Cup of Carrots 1 Apple 1 Peach I admit, I didn't eat much yesterday but that was because I didn't eat "just because", I only ate when my stomach yelled at me. Who would have thought that I wouldn't cave and have the cookie that I REALLY REALLY wanted! |

Yesterday I had: pint of blueberries banana mixed greens w/grape tomatoes 1/2 c oatmeal yogurt (6oz) 4 egg whites w/grape tomatos 1 bite-size piece of Dove dark chocolate (I was craving it soooo bad, I just went ahead so I would stop obsessing) |

Yesterday: 4 Egg whites 1 packet of oatmeal (For Pookey thats O-N-E) 1 cup brown rice 1 cup Onions 1/2 cup Mushrooms 1/2 cup carrots, brocoli and peppers 1 Cup peaches Oh! and a Large Salad with olives, carrots and 1 table spoon of dressing! I am down to 185!!! Thats a total of 1.5 lbs lost!

I dont know where this will power is coming from but I am not going to argue! Huntinglabmom, you did great! 1.5lbs! Yeah!!!! Mpayne - put the candy down, I repeat! Back away from the candy and PUT IT DOWN! You still did quite well yesterday. Are you guys exercising too? That is my downfall. |

I might have to drop out, ladies. My IBS is flaring up something AWFUL with all the fruits/veggies. Doggonit! I hate the thought of not being able to lose this weight, but if my tummy doesn't settle down soon, I can't keep this up. It's been horrible today. ![]() If I do have to drop out, everyone gets a RAOK. So I will be keeping my end of the deal, anyway... I'll just be fat while you all are getting skinny. ![]() BTW, yes, I exercise. I walk a few times a week with friends from church. We have a treadmill at home, and I need to dust it off and start doing it every day again. Especially if I can't keep eating the FS way. |

Hey mpayne- don't give up! Try googling IBS and Diet. Perhaps you just need to modify the type of fruit you are eating. Remember you did eat a whole pint of blueberries! A whole pint would make my tummy go a bit wild too. Also if you're not usually a yougurt eater that could cause some issues. Please don't give up...maybe you just need to make some tweaks!

Oh, I know what I'm supposed to eat. Unfortunately, most of the "healthy" stuff (veggies, fruits) are the worst for IBS. I don't know why I keep thinking that it's not going to bother me... it does every time. ![]() I won't give up trying to eat better, but I just can't eat the quantity of veggies and fruits that I have been this week unless they are pureed - and I can only drink so many smoothies! I'll hang in there, but I don't think I'll be able to follow the FS plan 100%.
