Hi there! I'm a long time reader of this site but don't post all that much. My son was recently diagnosed with spastic diplegia, a form or cerebral palsy. Just wondering if anybody else is in the same boat as us right now? He has been wearing AFOs for about 4 months now and we are currently in the process of searching for a walker....I'd love to chat with any other parents with some experience with this

hi, my child dont have cp but has a rare syndrome called lowe syndrome. he is 7 yrs old wears AFOs and he recently just got a walker and loves it. special needs kids are a blessing he is a great kid. i'm here to chat anytime you want..

My son is 16 and was diagnosed with spastic diaplegia when he was about 3. We've been through castings, AFOs and botox injections. He doesn't require any assistive devices (walkers,canes, crutches, etc) for walking. Most of his care was done through Shriners hospital. He is also ADHD.

Thanks for replying ladies we are supposed to be getting a rental walker today, very exciting, he was diagnosed about 4 months ago, he will be 2 on Christmas Eve. I am very happy to hear that your 16 year old is doing well and doesn't need any help to walk! I definitely needed to hear a happy story like that!
