I am so behind on the kids photos. I haven't even finished my youngest who are 4 1/2 baby book. I am trying to find a way to get caught up without losing my mind. Any ideas?

Ah..... I feel so bad as I have a ton of photos in my large buffet... one day I keep saying and that day has not come; I still have not done 4 out of 5 of my children's baby books so help me too!!!!!!

behind how???...behind editing? behind printing? behind getting them in albums?

i was way behind....years...had random boxes everywhere...one day I decided to just go get the albums and then I decided on a system of sorting ....day by day i plugged away until i was finally done...filled 24 albums (200 pics each)...of course about 3 months after I finished my hubby found another box of pics stashed away ...grrrr. But I took it all in stride...figured I had gotten this far I wouldn't be defeated by one box...so I undid what i had to and put the missing pics in...finally i was all caught up.

fast forward to about 4 years later...now i have a digital camera...tons of pics sitting on my computer in need of editing and printing...the amount just kept building until i had 3 years worth to do ...well it took hours and hours of work but I finally got through all of them...edited, printed and in albums.

so i guess my advice would be this...be patient, keep at it, have wine handy and most important once your caught up, don't fall behind again.

I'm Behind all of the above. How did you set your schedule daily?

LOL, my son is 23 and I still have pictures of him as a todler that need sorted and put into photo albums. So glad to know I am not alone!!
What I am doing is working on it little bits at a time. If I can give myself 30 minutes once a week (I must add it to my schedule or it doesn't get done) I might get through it in a couple of years. Now that I have little ones. All their pics are on digital camera. I download them and store them right away into a computer file with the name of the occation. Now I am working on putting together a family video with pics and video.
What have I got myself into???

My kiddos are only 2.5 & 14months...so all of mine are digital. I organized (filed electronically) by year and then month. So, the 2007 folder has 12 folders in it, one for each month. Then I had to sort thousands of pics from the last 3 years into their appropriate files. Once they were all sorted by date; I went back and put a "to print" folder in the front of each year with a for which album (made each child one and me one) and then went through month by month and copied and pasted the ones I wanted to print. I printed over 300 pics. This was all a few months ago...my motivation was the $10 Heinkeen photo rebate, so I had a deadline. I have now put one album together...mine because it was the quickest (no writing, just stuffing). The other 2 still sit....

no set schedule...most of it I actually did while sitting in front of the TV...perfect way to waste...I mean productively use ..those dreary long winter nights. Some nights I would do a couple hours...some nights only a couple minutes. the key was setting it up so I could just get to the stuff easy and keep chugging along. The more albums I would fill the more inspired i was to get done.
