I was wondering how much you would be willing to pay for toilette paper (per roll)

All rolls are different sizes and quality so that's not the best way to price them, but the last two deals I got were Quilted Northern 12 packs for 2.99 and the Marcal 4 packs for anywhere between .29 and .79 each. The Quilted Northern was a little over .01 per square foot but I was using my RRs at Walgreens and still made money that day. Not sure exactly on the square feet of the Marcal 4 packs.

I go by feet...I'll only buy tp if the square foot is the same as the cost in pennies for double ply...so 100 feet of tp I'd only pay < or = $1.00 for...most packages have 4 rolls in them and about 83 square feet of tp.

I have been getting White Cloud 4-pack ~ 143.7 sq ft for $1 after $1 Q at WalMart

= $0.007/sq ft ... < 1¢!

If I was out & really needed it I'd pay whatever it cost! -LOL - but hopefully it wouldn't be over 50 cents per roll.

i figure by roll, like if its a double roll pack of 12 and it says like 24 rolls, i will take 24 and divide it into the price. the best price i have pay is $0.20

I try to keep it about 25 cents a roll more or less...it's hard to do here with so few deals. I know some on here get tp for free but that has never happened for me!

I've been doing the same thing and stocking up.

TP costs waaaay too much money.

Hopefully there will be another good deal before I run thru the 25 or so 4-packs I've bought.

So I guess my answer is about 25 cents a roll? Ideally. For what is described as a "big roll" although it sure doesn't look like one.

yeah i know what you mean, i have to drive over a hour away to get in some my deals so i dont always get the good ones!

Toilet paper is always so tricky to me because there is no standard size for a roll. Double roll, triple roll, etc. In general my target is 25 cents per roll but I'll pay up to 41 cents if we need it and the sale cycle is not coming up soon.

I am not a lucky one to get free toilet paper, so I shoot for a quarter a roll or less. That has seemed to be a fairly easy achievable goal.

I haven't paid for tp in a year and a half. Honestly can't remember what I used to pay.It feels wrong to pay for something you're flushing down the toilet. Of course, the alternative is much worse.

Before I started Couponing I bought whatever was cheapest.

When I started using Qpons I was able to get loooots and looots of toilette paper for free.

Since this "free toilette paper well" is dried up and my free TP Stockpile slowly but surely shrinks more and more I need to re-plan the whole TP thing again and I am glad so many of you responded

yeah I should do that! I usually pay .41-.58 per roll for Scott 1000. I haven't bothered to calculate it per sq. ft. vs. others per sq. ft.... I just always use Scott since it lasts a lot longer than the rest and the rest clog the toilet too easily. Though I did stock up on Cottonelle when it was free at Kroger and I've gotten Angel Soft a few times for free also... so if it's not free then I just get Scott instead.

This is exactly what I have been buying for months. Luckily a new White Cloud coupon campaign comes up a few weeks before I run out or coupons expire.

I have always calculated by s.f., and continue to be shocked by how much TP costs. .02 per sq. ft? Forget it!

Brook, you must have had to run into the bathroom to get that info.

I try really hard not to pay anything for TP. A year or so ago, Cottonelle 4-pk was free at Kroger, and I ended up with a hundred packages. Lately, I've been buying Northern from Rite-Aid ... the big honker packages (12 super-duper rolls or whatever) for about a buck per package. Check out the RiteAid forum for how that deal works.

I hope not to have to buy TP again for a couple years. Now trash bags ... that's one I'd like to find a deal on!!

I try not to pay more than .50 cents per roll. Fav brand is Cottonelle, 12 pack, double rolls, one-ply, who the heck knows how many feet. Usually goes on sale 2/$12 and on a good month 2/$11. Raid the blinkies when you see them w/ TP coupons.
I even wrote mnfr to whine that in this economy, I've had to resort to GENERIC toilet paper. They sent (3) .50 cent coupons that were printed on shiny, silver, irredescent paper that cost more than .50 cents to print. Idiots!

It depends...considering Scott brand is the only one I can personally use due to my corn allergy, I try to get as good of a deal as I can, but it doesn't go on sale as low as others...but not being itchy is worth it.

Now for the rest of the household, I go as cheap as possible. Northern at Rite Aid, with Rite Aid Video Value q's + manu q's + rebate ended up being a money maker for 3x 12 double roll packs last Sunday. My theory is cheap TP is good, free is better, and getting paid to take it home, well that's just perfect

if the tp has 250 sf and the price is greater than $2.50, paying too much ...this formula is GREAT! you can check instantly, even on those big packs!

Yep. I don't need a calculator for that one either.

Paper towels are harder to find. I did come across a deal at Target where the single rolls of Bounty and Charmin to go were free after TQ and MQ so I bought up as many as I could then.

I shoot for a penny a square foot, too. If I can get it for less, I stock up.

I would like to know how you get it for free? When you say free, do you mean you are buying it with ECBs and RRs or are you REALLY getting it for free? The closest I have gotten to free is when my Kroger had a 4 pack for $1.88 and I had an e-coupon and a tripled 25 cent coupon.

How was Cottonelle free last year? Maybe if I can understand how that deal worked, I can find something similar to it. I would love a lesson in free TP! (p.s. no marcel single rolls in my 75 mi area!)

I have not paid for paper towels or tp for a year now! I got so many more pt and tp during the last deal at Shaws for free in addition to all the free Marcal I already have I think I won't pay again for another year! I would hate to pay anything for TP, PT, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and deoderant!
