| Will this change your mind
Lately we have been buying lots of shampoo, so ck out the worst /best shampoo. 10 Drugstore Shampoos You Shouldn't Buy (Even if they're on Sale) - Fashion + Beauty on Shine If there's one hair care secret I'd like everyone to know it's this: you don't have to spend a lot of money on shampoo to have healthy hair. True, there are great salon and high-end shampoos out there that are more than worth their price. But, for most of us, we can get along just fine using a quality drugstore shampoo. Please note however that I said a quality drugstore shampoo. Because plenty of them just aren't good enough for your hair. Take, for example, the shampoos below. TotalBeauty.com readers tried them and found they left their hair dirty, dry or greasy -- ugh! Peruse the products below, and toss any coupons you may have for them, they're totally not worth it. No. 10: Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality Shampoo TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 5.8 (out of 10) No. 9: Suave Professionals Radiant Brunette Shampoo No. 8: Sunsilk Anti-Caida (Anti-Fall) Shampoo No. 7: TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo No. 6: John Frieda Radiant Red Color Captivating Shampoo No. 5: TIGI Bed Head Moisture Maniac Shampoo No. 4: Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar No. 3: TreSemme ColorThrive Brunette Shampoo No. 2: TreSemme Vitamin B12 & Gelatin Anti-Breakage Shampoo No. 1: Samy Smooth Shampoo So you've seen the worst, now it's time to check out Best Drugstore Shampoos the best (break the coupons back out, you'll definitely want to buy these). |

I generally use John Frieda, Pantene and TreSemme (in that order) and love them..no complaints..zero nada. I think this is more of a YMMV issue since everyone has different hair types. Intresting to read, but it won't change my mind.

With as many shampoo/conditioner brands I have tried courtesy of WAG, I love them all. I cannot complain because I get to try different brands. I have several favorites and the reason I may not have a problem is because I alternate them with Suave clarifying shampoo so often so the rest always work for me. Best of all, they're cheap, if not free. Great info, but no reason for me to toss good stuff that works great. And I'm grateful for all of them

Exactly! Im not going to take the word of someone else on what shampoo i buy. Why would it change my mind? If its free and cheap ill use it and like JMB said, alternate with a clarifying shampoo. Any shampoo if you use it for too long can make your hair not clean b/c your hair's chemistry will get used to it. You need to switch it up

If it's free or darn close, I'll buy it no matter what. If it's really awful for hair, I can use it for hand soap. But I'm not too fussy about shampoo and conditioner. Good smell, doesn't weigh my hair down too much? Good enough.

A friend of mine used to work for a high end salon as a chemist making their hair products. She said there really is no difference between the high end products and the cheaper products other than scent (which is a personal preference anyway) AND price. Want that shampoo with the honey in it? It only takes a few drops per bottle to allow them to list that as an ingredient or any other "special" ingredient.

I have always been told by my hairstylists never to use Pantene, especially on colored hair. They say it's horrible and only coats the hair with oil to make it shiny. I do however LOVE the John Frieda radiant red! It keeps my color so much longer than other shampoos!

I have used several brands of shampoo/conditioner over the years and have found some that work (Aveda) and some that don't. Some make me break out. Some make my hair limp. Some strip my hair. Some fade my color. Those that don't work for me, might be great on someone else. I will say this, though...and call me CUCKOO if you want. I try to use only natural shampoo/conditioners on my kids. Free of parabens, SLS, etc. I have found one in particular that I love and, unfortunately, it is expensive. |

I honestly can't say I tell a difference though between the .99 cent Suave though and the $15.99 Higher end brand. A while back there was a deal at WAGS on the Vitamin shampoo which normally was like 6 or 7 bucks. And I couldn't tell a difference between that and the cheap stuff. Most of my freebies are either herbal essences or Garnier Fructis, both of which I love. |

I saw this article too (and read it )Like Ms Coo P'on said,... it depends on the hair types. If there is a shampoo I am not too happy with I pass it on the DS (we'll see how much longer he'll be O.K. with that )He has short short hair so every shampoo works just fine.

I have always been told Pantene was horrible for your hair and a few years back there were tests done compairng "cheap" shampoos with higher priced brands and Suave beat them all. Nice to read but Pantese to me is not that great. I would like to try the coconut milk. I have some self heating something or other for the hair and I like it...i relaly like it just because it warms up on my head!

Very interesting read. Doesn't change my mind though My hair is super frizzy and fine and fly away no matter what product I use. I have learned how to tolerate it, keep it mostly under wraps and use whatever I can get a deal on. I like to try all the different kinds out there, makes life more interesting to me. That Vitamin Shampoo is the only one I really did not like because it mixed with my personal chemistry in a bad way.

I've tried many of those and have to say I do like Infusium the best, but not so much that I'd pay for it over free ones. I've never liked the regular Suave - especially the conditioner - but their Professionals line is nice. I just opened a bottle of Aussie shampoo and had to stop using it b/c it smelled so sweet it made me nauseous. I've also heard that same thing many times about hair salons recommending against Pantene. I always like Pantene and according to the article a lot of other people do, too. Thanks for the article link!

Do to my allergy to corn & all its derivatives, I had to go cold turkey on shampoo/hair care products/etc a few years ago. I switched to simple MIY recipes which come mostly from my kitchen- baking soda, honey, vinegar, and a little castile soap, if needed. The funny thing is my not only is my scalp much healthier & my ears don't itch like crazy after I wash my hair, but my hair is so much better behaved then it ever was when I was using tons of product on it. I can actually get it to hold a little curl now- which took an act of congress before. I just wish I would have figure it out years ago- I save a lot of $$ not buying shampoo, conditioner & the like.

nope, doesn't change my mind. Right now I'm using aussie (from the wags deal) and i love the smell and it really moisturizes my hair. I've used about everything and the only ones I will not buy are suave and white rain because it just doesn't work with my hair type.

I don't use any of those specific shampoos so no worries here! Although, it is a matter of opinion. I used to love Pantene but haven't used it in a while since I don't usually find deals on it. I have suave, aussie, and herbal essences out the wazoo though so that is what I will be using for a while... |
