| Funny things our children say!
I thought it would be fun to share something funny our children have said or done. Nothing like a having a good giggle from something they have said or done, and have no idea what was so funny! Here's my funny story: Me and my DD, who was about 3 & 1/2 at the time, was taking Papaw home from a visit. It was around Christmas time, and dark. She was ooooing, and ahhing in the back seat at all the Christmas lights. We started to go through a business section without any lights, and she asks if we'll see anymore. I said I don't know honey, we'll have to keep our eyes out. She says...I think I'll just keep mine on my face! I still laugh out loud when I think of this!Anyone else have a story they want to share for a good giggle?

this reminds me of one my son said when he was ~ 4yo... he was just standing there looking in the open refrigerator...I asked him what did he want and he said nothing, so I said 'close the door, you're letting all the cold air out' well, he continued to stand there with it open! so I asked why... 'I'm waiting for the cold air to go back in' that one always gives me a giggle, cause he was so matter of fact about it...like it was the only logical thing to do!

My daughter doesn't quite talk yet, but I thought it was hilarious when we went to target, she said to a male worker (she doesn't like men, at least she didn't) and went up to him and shook his hand..

And another time when she had first disocovered her belly button she was sitting next to the dog and he was stretching, She pointed to her belly button and then went and stuck her finger in his butt.. apparently that's the dogs belly button.

well, I have to add my story about my teenager daughter who is 17 yrs old now, but at the time was about 2. One day, she said " can I came some water" and I asked her what was the magic word, and she said "abracadabra"... , Last edited by couponaddicted; 10-25-2009 at 05:05 PM. Reason: more |

I can already tell this thread is gonna be funny!! I'll share one of mine. The other day I was putting a 2000 flushes tab in the back of the toilet and flushed it so it would turn blue. My DD3 walks in and says what are you doing mama I said I put a tab in the toilet and she looks at the toilet and the water is blue and says "oh my goodness mama did you pee blue?" I started laughing and said no that's the color the water turns when you put the tab in it!!

My 5 yr old son said this to me a few weeks ago: "Mom, I have an imaginary friend, and he's a genie" Me: "Oh yeah? Does he grant you wishes?" Him (sighs and rolls his eyes) : "No Mom, he's an IMAGINARY genie, not a REAL genie!" I dont think I've ever laughed that hard, of course, after he walked out of the room

I am always reminding my kids to grab thier backpacks, lunches, binders ect so we can leave for school. So today when I was getting ready to go grocery shopping my son told me " Come on, get your purse...and your binders" as he rolled his eyes.

Or even better when she was about three, she had a "floaty swimsuit" with the pads inside of it that keep them afloat. I had gained some weight that year so my suit was a bit tight. She points to my chest and exclaims, "Look! Mommy has a floaty swimsuit on too!!" I figure it could have been worse....she could have been pointing to my butt!!

OMG! That was funny!! And you got ahead of me...I was going to post about something like this today, thinking of somethings she's been saying...she's almost 2 so she's starting to talk and we've been teaching her some words...so here's it is: when she says eyes it sounds like a** so we were at the store the other day and as we are going thru the aisles she's yelling bye bye poopy and eyes...a** so people must it been thinking that I am teaching her to say a**!! And my oldest when she was little used to say "back to norman" rather than back to normal...it was hilarious...she also use to call animals - aminals...still today we reminded her about it. thanks for posting!!

Just thought of another story....My DD has always been very literal, as you might can gather from my earlier story. When she was just under 2 or so I asked her to listen to me very closely....so she moves in nose to nose, eyes wide with anticipation!

My older daughter was potty training and wearing panties. She asked why her sister ( baby) didn't wear panties. I said because she is a baby, and you are a big girl and you wear big panties. She then said " Mommy you must wear realllllllyyyy big panties then" |

And he then said "wow mom you must be a great shot" we still laugh about that and this was like 4 yrs ago |

Here is another one. I am sorry if this offends any one. We were in kmart 1 day and we were looking for a propane tank because i dad have given us a new BBQer and he kept the tank. Well my now 11 yr old starts yelling in the middle of the store "mom are we only to get Cocaine(i want to apologize if this offends the moderators, i was only trying to tell a story) and i looked at him with total shock. The people in the store just turned and looked at me and my hubby like what the heck are you teaching your child. I politely corrected him just as loud as he asked the question "NO honey we are looking for a propane bottle because papa gave us his BBQer. I wanted to just pick him up and run out of the store. |

I have another one. This one is about now 18 yr old. I know everyone has seen the austin powers movies, and how they make comments about melons. Well we were in Winco 1 day and it was right before Thanksgiving so it was very crowded and busy. My son walks over and picks up to cantaloupes and puts them to his chest and yells "melons gets your ripe juicy melons" "are the ripe" "what do you think". I just turned red as a radish and kept walking, and everyone just stopped and stared at us. I wanted to just duck and cover, it was crazy. |
