| What is the best kind of hardwood floor mop?
Just moved in to a house with over 800 sq. ft. of hardwood floors. What's the best mop or system for cleaning? Thanks!!

I have 6 hardwood floors in my house, I use the swiffer wet jet. They make a cleaning solution for hard wood, has a nice shine and a good smell.

I clean for a living, and I use the big rag mop w/squeegie bucket at my accounts, we use water w/ a dash of vinegar, and make sure most of the water is squeezed out(you only want it slightly damp). At home, I find this too cumbersome as only my kitchen , dining and entry have hardwood. I do it by hand. I do have a swiffer though for fast cleanup. When I was reading All You, I came across a coupon for $2 off a Black Diamond thing for hardwood floors it looked similar to a swiffer maybe a little better. I have not seen it at the grocery store, but it has me interested, maybe Target or Home Depot?

I use the Orange Glo / Clean Mop. Its a handle with a washable pad that is green with pink edging. They have a "cleaner" solution and a "refinish" solution and they both are GREAT! Plus I love that I can rewash the pads. Its the one Billy Mays advertised...and I bought mine at Kroger.

I also use a shark a few times a week. I got mine at Sams club. It came with a handheld spray bottle that is awesome for window tracks, sliding door tracks and baseboards!! I don't like to use anything with chemicals so that's why I use these two.

I use an H20 Steamer on mine, but it makes leaves the floor too wet. I just go over small areas are then dry it with a towel. Would love something simpler but would not damage the floor. Most of our house is hardwood floors except for the bathrooms and kitchen which are ceramic tile and the bedrooms which are carpeted.

I also have a Hoover Steam Carpet Cleaner ( a big upright Kerby looking thing ) that came with a "hardwoods and other hard surfaces" attachment. It like a squeegee piece that fits over the spinning bristles. Once a month we will use that and my floors look AMAZING afterward but its just too cumbersome to do every week.
