A little about me: I'm 24 years old and the mom of two kids. (My oldest is 3.5 and my youngest is 18 months.) I just started couponing this week, actually. I worked for Apple Computers AND AT&T Wireless from 2006 - beginning of 2008. I was making excellent money and decided to go on shopping trips with my kids, get them clothes, toys, basically being very careless with the money I did have. I now regret all of that because when I lost the job, we didn't have too much to live on. I also live with my mom and my uncle comes occasionally as well. My mom has been unemployed for years and cannot work, so I have to also support her. It's difficult now that I don't have the best job like I did previously. I was spending over $200 in groceries weekly an it was getting so bad so that sometimes we had to scrounge for money for dinner or just feed the kids and go without food ourselves. Of course I feel like it is my fault because when we HAD the money from my jobs, we bought whatever we wanted. We took that for granted. When I started couponing the beginning of this week I was so surprised! We've only spent $100 this week (Ok, 102) and we got a whole cartful of food. I saved $76 on ONE shopping trip. I was so excited. I am already starting to see that there are ways of getting things for amazing prices and still having money left over. Even for us!

Currently, I am a Mystery Shopper and Merchandiser. I will soon start my new job as an at home customer satisfaction evaluator. I can't wait. I love couponing and can't wait to learn even more ways to save!

ok..great idea..but not for the life of me am i good enough at this to know how to do pictures. I'll ask my husband when he gets a chance. I have 7 kids...5 girls, 2 boys.ages 28-7. I am a stay at home mom..oh...and by july I will have 6 grandchildren. I am super active with their sports and activities but always find time to stockpile!!!! OH, I love this site! Kathleen

Hey guys! I'm Tricia, a 25 yr old Mom to 3 little princesses: Emma (5), Gracie (4) and Bree (terrible 2) and a banker. DH and I will celebrate our 6th anniv this year! I found a few couponing blogs late 2008 and began couponing in January. I amaze all my friends with the 'store' in my house and my hubby brags to all his friends that I spent $2.xx on 5 bags of groceries last weekend at Homeland! I'm seriously addicted to AFC and have taught my B-Fri (best friend-she's crazy!) how to coupon so we can shop away our lunch hours together! Oh P.S. I'm on the left in the pic...

Great idea for a thread~ I'm a 27 y.o. single Dental Hygienist. No kids, One cat. Have always been a "bargain shopper" and mild coupon user.... found AFC (thank God!) in September after reading about it in All You, which I had already subscribed to for the Qs! i have been married to my wonderful husband for 14 years! i will be 42 years old in just a few days. i have 3 wonderful step children, ages 21, 23 & 25. my precious little baby is a cocker spaniel daisy, who is 5 years old.
i love perennial gardening, photography & couponing!
i work for the #1 insurance company in the u.s. - i won't name the company. i've been helping people with their insurance needs for the past 14 years. i absolutely love my job!

Hi! I'm Delissa! I am 34yrs old and have been married to a very sweet and patient man for 4 1/2yrs. My husband is a Marine, he was badly wounded in Iraq in 2006 and recently had his 59th, and hopefully last, surgery and is recovering wonderfully! We have beautiful and charismatic daughter, Mirabella, who is almost 4. Before DH was hurt, we lived in CA where I was a buyer for a Harley-Davidson dealership. Currently I am a SAHM and though I never planned to be, I feel extremely blessed to be able to spend so much time with her, she is so amazing! I have always been a thrifty shopper and a coupon freak, but since finding AFC, I have turned it up about 20 notches! Not only did I find a fabulous place to get the best deals, but I found an amazing community of people, some of whom have become really great friends! Nattsgirl is my baby sister, I dragged her on here and now she is an addict too ! It's nice to read about all of you!

I don't have many pictures of me as photography is a hobby of mine and I am usually on the other side of the camera so this is the best I can do.

Hi all!

This me (and my hubby) (pic courtesy Misty Woodward) and this pic was taken when I PG with our youngest. We were at a photography conference in Chicago and were anxiously awaiting the results of the amnio (for good they were.. ).



I am Amber, mom to Owen (6), Ross (4), and Kyleigh (2). I am a professional photographer and I shoot 90% weddings with my husband. The business is really my baby he just figure out that if he ever wanted to see me again on a weekend that he had better learn to shoot! LOL

We live in Kentucky (Go CATS!) and spend the majority of our time doing business stuff or doing kid stuff. We have recently re-implemented the DATE NIGHT- which also happens to be COUPON NIGHT! Troy and I coupon TOGETHER about 80% of the time. Its great!!!!!!!!!!! Bonding and saving money all at the same time!

Our life is not easy by any means. I got into coupons recently (in the past 6 mo) after I was blessed by a friend's stockpile (luv u Ali girl!!!) (read the rest of my story here: Why I coupon- Emotional Story)

Our daughter was born with VACTERL'S Association and has had 15 surgeries in two years. She has spent a year's worth of days in the hospital and we have spent a year's worth of days out of work. The medical bills (and others) have piled up and we now coupon to SURVIVE. I am SO thankful for AFC. I have been blessed so much by the people and DEALS here!!! YAY! (group hug!)

This is a great thread! I am Jennifer and a 34 year old SAHM in the Chicago suburbs. I used to be an IT girl and DH is also in IT so we are rather nerdy/geeky around here. I have six children which you can see from my signature. I have been married to my wonderful DH for six years and we have been together since my three oldest were little guys. He is a great dad to all of the kids and proud of my new saving skills! Since I am a SAHM and my 5 yr old is autistic and have two even younger it is difficult to get out during the day to do stuff. I am just really happy to have found AFC because not only do I get to save lots of money (and oldest DS is happy we don't have to shop at the cheap stores for clothes, teenagers! ) but it is a great way for me to actually interact with other adults besides my DH, mom and sis. Also, since the savings are great DD won't have to wear hand me downs from her brothers.

i am debbie married to bobby one son AJ 4 grown step children
we use to be chrysler employees i got sick gave up my job hubby is retired
we are looseing our vision and dental in july have no idea what is coming next so i thought i better start couponing and make one of them stock piles i see everyone has
we live on a farm in the middle of no where in missouri
little over a year ago we use to own a little country store i didnt think about couponing then wished i had
we had to close it due to my hubby almost died they thought he had a cold
i said no way took him straight to the ER he was in conjestive heart failure another hour or so and i wouldnt have him now he has a pace make difibulator that is recalled and they cant replace anyways enough about all that
not know what is coming i decided to coupon i got this site from a friend of mine and i watch the posts daily but are usually worthless for me as i am in a rural area i have to drive over 60 miles to a kroger in rolla mo and i am not real impressed with that so dont know if i will continue
although rolla missouri wags just opened and my cousin works there so maybe she can give me heads up on deals
i have paint horses sonny who is a black and white races man he is fast
skeeter is his son he is a bay and white has one speed that is slower than slow he is strickly for kids and newbies
coco is black walker patches is sorrel and white walker
my stud jessi is a creamello quarter horse
i had 3 baby deer in my house last year to raise in hay season we find some that almost die from from disc mower coz they dont move an inch one of them was named bubba he took over the couch bad anyways they are wild now and gone with families of their own
we have 6 dogs
boxer mix from shelter ziggy
mix something dumped off poochy
little dog of some kind killer
healers ruby jake
black mix of some kind bo such a ham
we live on the courtoise aka kodaway and the funniest thing is sitting on the gravel bar at the bottem and watch those city folks tip over they have no clue
we do alot of trail rides in the summer and fall season after hay season is over we do them all weekend long hog roasts ect lots of fun
i am 45 now my hubby is 60
ok i think i covered most everything

You mad me laugh about finding a pic. I posted the only picture I have since my wedding...! I sooo hate having my pic taken. I much prefer taking them and having cuter subject matter in the pic, like the kids.

I'm Lindsey, I am 24 and I live in Northern Nevada, about 30 mins from Reno, with my husband of almost 5 yrs (together just over 7 yrs) and our 2 little princesses, Haylee 3 yrs and Zoey 3 mos. (today!) I am a SAHM and I LOVE it. My 3 yr old LOVES to shop, we're teaching the baby now I've been clipping coupons since I was little with my mom, but she never stockpiled or went crazy like I do. Infact, she usually forgot them at home LOL. I started going coupon crazy last year and stockpiled for a few months. I got pregnant last summer and we lived in the boonies, so I couldn't make the trip and just kind of tapered off. We used about 3/4 of my stockpile, moved and now we're closer to civilization and I took up couponing and stockpiling the end of April. I shop at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, (grocery stores - Scolaris, Smiths, Safeway) and sometimes Target since they have a brand new awesome one in Sparks! All of the stores I shop at are coupon friendly (knock on wood!) and it's been a blast since I love shopping and it's a money saving hobby! I also sell Mary Kay and try to scrapbook in my free time...but usually couponing takes over in my free time . I am definitely addicted!
