I have a good "coupon relationship" with the store director of my Smith's. He stopped me today and said....."Now, i don't want you to give your hopes up, but we received a memo to heavily overstock shelves because Smtih's was having a huge sale and promo involving coupons"

So, he said that that could only mean one thing! Doubles.....he did mention that he didn't think they were posting limits on coupons(he thinks it will be unlimited).

So....very good possiblity.

I've heard the same thing.
I wrote corp asking why Smiths doesn't double and other Kroger affiliates do. The reply was that they review the situation from time to time and would consider my suggestion.
I sure wish we had doubles. That would be sweet!

Confirmed! Unlimited doubles up to $1.00. $1.50 coupons double to $2.00. $2.00+ is face value!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad! since Albies only limit you to 3 doublers a day but it would be nice to go into Smiths and find some of the good deals on the shelf! I'm loving Smiths now!!! hope they have more of these great coupon days!

i called customer service and was actually "channeled to kroger CS. The lady I spoke with said that by the time I called(about 10:30-11ish) they had received over 10 thousand phone calls expressing thanks and all with requests to continue double coupon promotions in the future.

I wonder what would happen if everyone of us called tomorrow....

Today? Was there a monday ad then? I don't get the paper so I haven't seen anything.

I found out yesterday (from another coupon blog) and went last night!! It was so much fun. The only store around here that doubles is Albertson's...and that's only sometimes and typically you can only do 3 at a time!!! This was unlimited and FUN!!! I truly wish they would always double!! I'm always jealous when I read others posts about their double coupon deals!! I took home 5 sack fulls and only spent $22!! Yeah!!

I never saw it here either. Was it double coupons like albertsons has where you have to have a coupon for every coupon you use or were they just flat out doubling?

yeah I think it was doubling, and I think it was only in Utah.

The girl that started the thread was in MT so it wasn't just UT. But I'm in MT too and I don't think they did it here.

It was a full page add in the local paper (Kalispell), and it did happen, and it was GREAT... i just wish the manager would tell her again that its going to happen, i called after this promotion and told them thanks many times hoping this would get them to have the promotion again. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed....
