| marketforce paid me to shop
I was going to shop rite to get more smartones and to walmart to price match the big lots ad (All 3x laundry detergent 2/5). I had my coat on and was ready to go when the phone rang and they wanted to know if I would do a shop comparison for Shop rite and Walmart. They paid me 20.00 shop fee for the 2 and 10.00 each reimbursement. So I got paid forty dollars to do what I was going to do anyway. yea By the way they did price match and I got the all for .50 + 20 tax. (10 for 7.00) I have 4 more Qs but thats all the had.

| It is a paid shopper job that you go to marketforce.com and you can sign up for free. You do have to give them your SS# and things like that. I guess they have to know they are not signing someone up with a bad history. But if you want more info PM me.

I signed up as well, but no email yet. I am in more of a rural area, so not sure if they do stuff out here much. Will have to see if this pans out or not! |

I signed up and did first fast food shop. The paperwork you need to do afterwards for that is unbelievable. I hope I did it all correct. One question, how do you know if you did it correct? I don't want to do a bunch and find out later I did them wrong. Is there a way to tell as it looks like it will be a month before I get paid and reimbursed, if I did it all correct.

| CPI/Receipt Status
If you need to give more info they will email you but there is a link to check the CPI/Receipt Status . You could do more shops and they will pay you once a month for all. The more shops you do the easier the paper work gets.

I know what you mean. Paperwork was overwhelming. I hope I did mine right but as far as I can tell there is no way of telling that until payday? I submitted everything and 2 days later got an email I needed to submit what I already submitted, and it said verified. Email I got back was generic stating they can't reply to every individual email! So I may do another shop ( not that many in my area) and wait to see what happens, but don't want to do a bunch just in case.

I've looked at their website and it mentions that you are (as the mystery shopper) and individual contractor. So does that mean all earnings would need to be reported to the IRS on your income tax?

i'm not 100% sure though. i'm not too worried about it. i was just thinking this would be a fun way to save even more money at the grocery stores where i already shop. so far i'll be doing that twice next month. there was one for this week, but it is an announced audit and it takes 1.5 hours and has to be done by 7:30pm. just not sure if i can swing that.

Never heard of this one... so many of the mystery shopping sites aren't worth getting into, but this one sounds interesting! I worked for a restaurant for many years that relied heavily on in-depth mystery shopping surveys... yes, the detail was insane. Once you do a couple, it should get easier. Will be looking into this...

I did some research on this company via the BBB website and they have a good reputation. I was so nervous giving out my SS# that I looked them up and they actually a BBB member. That gave me peace of mind.

| Yes, you have to earn $600 from an employer before you have to worry about taxes. If you do make more than $600 the employer will send you a W-9, so you don't have to worry about tracking it yourself.

I have worked for this company for quite a while. The paperwork and noticing stuff gets easier the more you do. They pay like clockwork about the 10th of the month for jobs you did the month before. Even if you don't get a W-9 you should report all income. Just did my first year of taxes after mystery shopping for a whole year as a hobby and it wasn't too bad. Keep in mind you have to pay self-employment tax on earnings as an independent contractor.

I've worked for them too, although they only have fast food in my area. Agree with kelseycoo you should report all income you make in the year regardless of the company sending you a w-9. The company I believe only has to report the income on a w-9 if it is over $600. But save your receipts as those are expenses. Here is another good one that has grocery stores https://www.experienceexchange.com/ |
