Nabisco Deal (possible double dip)

Shoprite has some Kraft/Nabisco products on sale next week. Nabisco also has a $10 MIR wyb 10 participating products (Nabisco crackers, Easy Cheese and Planters). Plus, Shoprite is offering $5 or $10 OYNO when you spend $10 or $20 on these items. I will/can use crackers and peanuts for the upcoming holidays so I hope to make this work for me.

Here is the link to the Nabisco rebate (there is also a printable coupon for $1/2 Nabisco crackers). Keep the Jingle in your Holidays

Possible scenario:

10 Nabisco crackers @ 2/$5 = $25. Use 5 of the $1/2 coupons and pay $20. You will get a $10 OYNO from Shoprite and mail in for the $10 from Nabisco.

Obviously, you can forgo the $10 rebate if you don't need 10 boxes of crackers (you'd be suprised how many recipes there are using Ritz crackers from chicken to cookies) and just buy a combo of products to get the $10 OYNO. In that case, you could use the cracker purchases toward the $20 Kraft rebate from one of the back-to school promotions.

Any other possible scenarios?

I tried to print the coupon at the Kraft site but it is no longer available. Maybe there is another site that will have them. I sure hope so.

bummer. I didn't try to print the coupon again, but it did tell me too that the offer had expired. I hate when they still have the offer on the website like that. I am sure we will see coupons soon in the paper for the crackers.

Hey...would love to know if the Ritz Crackerfuls are amongst the 2/$5 Nabisco crackers in this deal because I've got a couple of those Buy Ritz Get Crackerfuls coupons that expire 11/30/09. Let me know what you see in the stores...?

No, just the other varieties of Ritz. I checked the prices online.

A couple of things about this Kraft $5 or $10 OYNO deal:

1. It runs from 11/1 to 11/14 (two weekly sales cycles).

2. Because of #1 above, it WILL NOT ROLL on the same price plus card because the system will keep track of your purchases over the two weeks.

3. You get them back as "certificates" (like the baby bucks) on the bottom of your receipt, not as a catalina. My receipt said that I had $20 in qualifying purchases, but looked like it only gave me one $5 "certificate" so the customer service desk gave me $5 in cash as the second certificate. They had no idea how this deal was supposed to work.

That being said, here's how I did the $20 worth of qualifying purchases for the $10 OYNO:

(4) Ritz crackers at 2/$5 = $10
(2) Kraft Mac & Cheese original 5-pks = $5.98
(2) Velveeta Shells & Cheese = $4.78

Used:
(2) $1/2 Nabisco cookie/cracker coupons -$2
(2) Free Velveeta peelies found on Mac & Cheese 5-pk - $4.78

Total OOP: $13.98
- $10 OYNO certificate
= $3.98 final OOP cost for 4 boxes of Ritz, 10 boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese, and 2 boxes of Velveeta Shells & Cheese

Many thanks to the board members who brought the free Kraft/Velveeta qs to our attention and who reminded us of the Nabisco calendar coupons!!!

I'm not familiar with the "certificates"; only the OYNO catalinas. How does that work?

TIA!

Thanks again for this great post!

I had a question; for the mail in rebate for Nabisco, do the 10 products have to be on one receipt?

I went to look at the rebate form; but was unable to get it to come up. I tried several times; sometimes it said it was done loading the page, & it was blank; the other times, it said that it was downloading it, & seemed to be stuck on there; but it was blank & never came up. I will try tomorrow & hopefully have better success.

TIA for any info!

According to the rebate form the 10 products can be on several receipts!

Also, I read that some people were having trouble with accessing this rebate form so I was prepared for the worst. When I went to the website I was able to print it out without a problem. Keep trying and you may get it. If not, try emailing the company itself. I've done this and found that they will email or mail it to you, and several times I've even got a bunch of coupons along with it! HTH!!

Popped into SR for a minute today for one item & asked the Mgr how it worked; & he explained how the certificate would be on the bottom of my receipt; & I would hand that over to the cashier. He said it would be on my next order.

I asked him if I could save it to use on a different order, or if it would automatically take it off of the next order (as I would do a couple of these, & wanted to save the certificates); & he said I didn't have to use them on the very next order; but did have to use them by a certain date, as outlined in this thread.

Thanks again to everyone for info on this great deal!

This rebate states "Save $10 When you buy any 10 participating: Nabisco crackers (7-16.5oz), Easy Cheese, and Planters nuts (9.25-21.25oz)."
Maybe it's possible there are several rebates going on for similar items?

This rebate form is from the Jingle in Your Holidays offer section of the Nabisco website as listed in post #1.
