FIRST A REVIEW
MAR

2009The flavor of this coffe is amazing...I recommend when you first buy this brand to try the Caribou Blend. It has fruit and chocolate tones and is so yummy! I do agree that it beats Starbucks coffee. I look foward to making this coffee every morning...something that gets me outta bed. If I don't finish the entire pot of coffee, then I put the pot in my ice box and drink it later in the day when its cold. The coffee taste great cold with cream with out a speacial trip to the coffe shop. This is the highest-quality coffe that I have tried so far so I diffenitly recommend you give it a try.

SECOND, SOME INFO REGARDING THEIR COMPANY PRACTICES FROM THEIR SITE
Responsible Sourcing
We believe that creating a great coffee experience means doing the right thing, on the farms where our coffee is grown, and throughout our coffee production process.
When Caribou made the decision to work in partnership with our suppliers in the pursuit of Rainforest Alliance certification, it was a turning point for many of our green coffee supplier relationships. We started down the path toward a more environmentally sustainable and socially responsible sourcing model during a time when world coffee prices were not high enough to support costs of production in many origins.
The pursuit of the Rainforest Alliance certification was a way for farmers to aim for a premium price for their coffees, "green up" their practices, gain some production efficiencies, and feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment once certification was achieved. Caribou Coffee's part was to encourage and support our producing partners through the certification process. The reward for us is the pride that our business practices have changed the way coffee is produced for us.
In 2005, we made a commitment that by the end of 2008 we would source 50% of our coffees from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ sources. We are pleased to announce that we have already surpassed that goal for coffees purchased for 2008.
Because It's the Right Thing to Do
We help spread sustainable coffee production methods across the globe. We choose partners who use sustainable methods and work to help others improve their production practices.
Rainforest Alliance Certified™
We're proud to work with the Rainforest Alliance, an organization that certifies coffee farms to guarantee:
•The environment and wildlife are protected.
•Workers receive decent wages and enjoy improved working and living conditions.
•Workers and their children have access to schools, medical care and clean drinking water.
•Coffee is harvested responsibly.
More than 35% of our coffees were Rainforest Alliance Certified™ in 2007. We've worked hard in accomplishing our goal of 50% by 2008. That's more than three times the average certification rate for the rest of the coffee industry.
We'll continue to push for sustainable practices across the globe "from Colombia to Sumatra" because it's the right thing to do.
Fair Trade-Certified
Caribou Coffee works with TransFair USA, the nation's only independent, third-party Fair Trade certifier, to ensure our practices meet current Fair Trade regulations. As a company that provides Fair Trade-certified coffee, we make sure:
•Independent farmers can compete globally.
•Workers are provided with safe working conditions.
•Farmers receive a guaranteed minimum price/lb.
•Farming communities benefit from profits made off their land.
Organic-Certified
Our Essential Organic Blend is certified organic by the Minnesota Crop Improvement Association (MCIA), a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved certifier. "Organic" means that the components of our Essential Organic Blend are organically produced. By offering organic, we support:
•Chemical-free agriculture
•Sustainable farming practices
•Clean water
•Responsible production
Wow thanks!

I just check my Ad and the klondike bars are $2.24. I am in the philadelphia area.
I also noticed that the kodak Extralife batteries are $2.99 for 24 pack. No coupons for it but seems like a nice deal for 24 batteries.

Would love to know if that "Buy 4 Pillsbury Cinnamon or Crescent Rolls, Save $1" is a cat or a discount off the total - I'd hate to screw up the whole $25 transaction because of this!

For the $1.67 Nestle candy bags: there's a coupon for $1/1 (11.5oz or larger) below, which will make it $0.67/bag! Definitely a necessity with Halloween coming up =)Nestlé Family - Celebration Corner

This is going to be a YMMV but I went into ShopRite today and the Smithfield 'Center Cut' Bacon was on an 'in store' sale for $2.99. I just found my $3/1 IP from weeks ago, they're not available anymore though.

4 Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes

+ $1.00 CAT (for buying 4 Pillsbury Crescents)

My SR takes S&S Double Dollars, which I have 4 of, so it'll come out to 9.96 + tax.

I'd also like to add that the GM coupons are available on Smartsource.com AND Coupons.com so you can print double the coupons!

I hope the GM CAT is rolling cause I have another possible scenario:

4 Green Giant Veggies
- (4) .50 IP Qs, doubled

4 Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes
- (4) .40 IP Qs, doubled

8 Progresso Beans
- (4) 1.00/2 IP Qs

1 Betty Crocker Potatoes
- .40 IP Q

1 Nestle Bagged Candy
- 1.00 IP Q

- 10.00 CAT from Scenario #1
- 1.00 CAT from Scenario #1
= 2.88 + tax OOP
+ $10 CAT (hopefully)

I'll let you know if this works out for me...wish me luck!
So, it worked!! I did my first transaction (used my S&S double dollars), added in 3 packs of BumbleBee Tuna, 3 Steamfresh veggies & 4 Small Steps TP so it came to 9.91 OOP...I got back $17 in CATS! 2 for the Pillsbury Crescents, 10 for the GM Promo and a 2 & 3 from my YourBucks.

I did my 2nd transaction at a different store and added 2 bags of Nestle candy minus $15 in CATs, I paid .90 cents OOP AND I got a $10 CAT back for the GM Promo so it IS rolling, woooohooooooooo!!!!!!

Healthy Choice Frozen Entrees are in the flyer this week 5/$10. You can use the $2/1 IP (don't know if it's still available) to make them free! I picked up 4 tonight.

A cashier balked at these qs and called a lower level manager who also balked. I pointed out the unique pins and they allowed my order, but wanted to hold the qs to take a closer look. I wanted to be able to tell them next time that how to check the smartsource qs (like bricks qs have veri-fi) but can't find anything similar for smartsource. Is there anything?

Just a word of warning on the Pburg store if you use IP coupons. If you don't then disregard.

They give you a very hard time with them. I have never ever been able to show them even 2 IP coupons without a problem. I have tried several cashiers. Was not allowed to use more than one Blue bunny one because they don't have different codes. If you have more than two ( as in two different computers) and you get certain managers called, they may tell you they are fradulent even with different numbers because they are told you can only print one or two coupons etc, blah blah blah.

On the other hand, I go to Stop and Shop across Route 22 from shoprite and never ever have a problem using IP coupons. . Gave the cashier 10 tuna ones today and she did not bat an eye or make a comment or call a manager or anything.
