At the risk of looking stupid, I need to ask a few questions about this deal because my sister and I are totally confused. My sister hit $50 in her first order and the $5 coupon printed. She now has $60 towards this deal (including the $40 that produced the $5). What will happen at $80? Will she get another $5? Or will she get the $20? If it's just giving $5 every time you hit $40, can you only get the higher ones if you hit the threshold in one order? For example, I have $35 towards this-- I am afraid to go and spend over $40 but less than $80 because I don't want a $5 onyo, I want the $20. Must I spend enough to get up to $80 in that order to get my $20? I am thoroughly confused now. Any help would be appreciated.

No, you can spend it however you want, and it just spits out the coupons when you hit the threshold. In my case, the first time I shopped, I got to $80 and it gave me 4 $5 off certificates at the bottom of the receipt. The next day I went back and finished the deal, and it gave me 4 more $5 off. So when your sister hits $80, it will print out 3 more $5 off certificates, giving her $20 total. If you look, you'll see that they all will have the same certificate #, even though they print at seperate times, I think that's how they add to it. For you to get the $20, you will have to eventually hit the $80 spent mark, but you don't have to do it all at once. Just remember that the spending period ends on Saturday. Does that make sense? I can't tell, .

I've been trying to explain how this works to my wife but I think I just end up confusing her more than normal. I'm at $88 on her card, with 4 $5 coupons printed out on her receipts. You can use those on any purchase, so since she is only $32 away from $120, I can buy $32 more of qualifying items - use the $20 earned so far = $12 out of pocket. Then it will spit out another 4 $5 coupons. |
